oli fox Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 This is completely true and if you don't believe me then fair enough but..... I bumped into Gelson Fernandes in Mountsorrel on saturday night and he said that he was disappointed with the result, Pearson is only playing the players he knows and that he's leaving soon cos he's not getting enough game time. He also said that Michael Johnson has already gone. Personally I would have liked to see him get a good run in the side (as would many i think) but sadly he's not gonna be around for much longer. As he left he said see you in the Premier! At least he's got an good imagination

Has had one good season and has literally dined out on it ever since. Far too fat and unfit now to be a professional footballer. An absolute waste of space.
oli fox Posted 18 December 2011 Author Posted 18 December 2011 He didn't tell you who Nigel is planning to bring in by any chance did he? I wish he did! Cool story bro. If you don't believe me then fair enough but it is true. Its gonna sound weirder but i met him in the Co-op and he was buying milk . Plus he's got a right hand driver Mini with a Swiss license plate. Honest.
ithuriel Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Suspected his heart was not in it after Sven departed.
StanSP Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Don't talk about Switzerland too much. You'll get one member on here very excited...
WAGHORN IS A BLUE Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 I beleive this cuz my mate seen him jogging in sorrel the other week

Libertine Dream Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Johnson has already gone back. If Fernandes is going then I really do question NP's abiltiy, if Wellens and King are in the centre on boxing day I won't bother attending.
oli fox Posted 18 December 2011 Author Posted 18 December 2011 Didn't say I didn't believe you mate my poor attempt at banter haha no worries mate . for me i'd would have liked to see both kingy and wellens dropped for abe and fernandes next week to kinda show the fans that nigel is willing to mix it up, be brave and that no one is a guarantee to start but i doubt he will.

Why question is ability with two player's that we're rumoured to be heading back the moment Sven was sacked and are apparently doing so? If they do not want to stay then fair do's and cheerio, they will not be the first or last player's to quit on this club unfortunately.
Collymore Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 No offense to the OP but I'm struggling to see the news... I mean he was hardly going to sign for us after getting the little game time he has! I'd be more interested in the milk he was buying - I'd say red top from the state of him.

Why would you want players here who clearly don't want to be here? Johnson is a fat has-been who will very soon find his level (the dole queue) and Fernandes lost interest as soon as Svennis was shown the door. Glad to see the back of the pair of them. We can do better in January.

Happy Fox Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Has Wellens gone yet, and Gallagher, Dyer, Howard, Oakley and Ball that is the day I wish for.

He wanted to play in a reserve game against Notts County so clearly didn't lose interest.

Jimmy Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 How do you know he wanted to? because the coach said so in the mercury. wasn't supposed to play, asked to and Nigel ok'd it
hackneyfox Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Fernandes came on twice as sub and showed more energy and passion than the rest of the midfield put together. He asked to play in a stiffs game and scored 4 goals. He then has to sit on the bench and watch the same FNP midfield show no skill, imagination or passion for the 3rd game running and still doesn't even get on as a sub. Why the fook would he want to stop? We're forcing probably the best midfield player we have out the club. Danns and Beckford are probably thinking the same as well. How does Howard get picked? It's beyond me. Most on here were glad to see the back of Sven due to him not having a plan b, does FNP, I'm yet to see one. He and his team knew a lot of the squad and this division, allegedly, I'm yet to see proof of it. This team is getting worse. I expect to see Weale played before much longer and Waghorn brought back in the new year. If we seriously have 10m to spend then Sharp and a decent wide player will take most of that. It won't leave much to replace the rest of the midfield if you've pissed off Danns and Fernandes, who if played in their correct positions, could potentially turn this season around. The lack of imagination and risk taking shown by FNP so far makes me shudder at what would hapen to us should he ever get us promoted.
Corky Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 I'm not surprised Fernandes is losing interest. I don't blame him either.
Kitchandro Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 I think the fact that the opinion on our midfielders differs so much shows that none of them are particularly great. I'll be disappointed to lose Fernandes as I thought he was perfect for that ball winning defensive role which we have lacked since the start of last season. Johnson I'm not bothered about despite him having talent, he hasn't shown much here. We need to bring one in but we could probably ship one or 2 others out as well.

hackneyfox Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 I was joking about Weale, the rest of my post is serious. Can you explain to me why he gives public support to Beckford and then plays Howard?
lcfcsnow Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 I'm not surprised Fernandes is losing interest. I don't blame him either. I lost interest the day Pearson returned.
