Nigel Pearson targets former charge Cameron Stewart

I'm kinda surprised Nigel Pearson is making such a pigs ear of this transfer window..

His dealings 12 months ago were concluded on the 1st January.. His two January signings Aaron McLean and Matty Fryatt were unveiled on New Years Day, I could be mistaken but I think McLean was on the bench vs Leicester that day..

From an outsiders perspective, Leicester seem to enjoy bragging about how much baht their owners got.. It follows that LCFC have little option but to pay premium baht for transfer fees/wages.. Paying modern day footballers inflated salaries doesn't always guarantee success on the pitch, particularly at Championship level..

Treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen..

Yeh..?

Well, I thought this under Sven this summer. I felt we were fannying about too much but having seen how Pearson conducted his transfer under us last time around I think it's more to do with other clubs perseptions of us and how much money they try to squeeze out of us. Pearson wants the players in asap, hence why we bid for some players in between Christmas and New Year.

Clearly not going to be an easy deal so i think were best just to walk away. We could get a few good players for this price, the kids good but hes not worth half of what we would have to pay. This is the exact kind of scenario in which they dont want to sell him and we want him in an already inflated window add the actions of adam pearson and you have got one rediculous price, get out there i say nigel! i think nigel could find us a gem of a player for a cheap price but its always a risk when he needs definate success to keep his job, the thais have a taste of sacking people now

Precisely.. If NP was serious about Cameron Stewart he would have tabled a feasible offer before the window opened, that's how he operates.. Pearson knows he has nae chance of doing business with Hull City at this time, and is merely chancing his arm by trying to unsettle the player, and cause a ripple of mischief and disruption at boardroom level..

Nigel Pearson knows the value of the player better than most.. All he has done is insult the player by putting in such a derisory offer. The boy is adeptly tearing this league to shreds, and is firmly on the radar of genuine big clubs.. Cameron Stewart has sufficient ability to be playing football in the Premier League next season, that would ensure a move to Leicester is becoming increasingly remote..

He didn't seem that offended when Nigel bought him for £300k 12 months ago. Hull fans tend to think that Stewart looks at the world through orange and black tinted glasses, and would turn down a move to Leicester because we're 4 points below you. Bullshit :P

He's played about 15 games for you and has scored twice. I rate the lad, and he caused us no end of bother at the KC Stadium a few months back but £1.5 million is not a derisory offer at all. You may want more and you may get more, but I don't think Nigel has done anything wrong here.

I love how people come on OUR forum to troll us and although successful in the sort term slowly but surely the tables turn and they just start to repeat the same points over and over again slowly getting more and more irritated as it starsts to dawn on them that they wont win the argument lol it will just go on and on and on...................ahd on ................................and on ....................................... ect.

Have to agree. I respect your opinion Billy but he's done nothing of note to make him a 3-4m+ rated player in the 20 or so games he's played for you.

I don't think you came blame Nigel, £1.5m is suitable, considering what you paid for him 20 games ago.

How many people on this forum has heard of Cameron Stewart before Pearson came back? I like to think my football knowledge is pretty good but I didn't even know what position he played. Thats why when it was first muted that Pearson was coming back we were all talking about Brady because he's the one we'd heard off.

Who are these supposed big clubs that are after him? Can't say I've seen any links. And 1 big club let him go in the summer for just 300k.

You're better position than any of us to talk about his ability but lets not exaggerate here.

This, the only time i had heard his name all season was after we played Hull.

Hardly "Tearing this league to shreds"

I knew of Stewart last season as I went to watch Hull the day we played Ipswich away. He destroyed Bristol City that day and was the most creative player on the pitch. At the time he was only on loan and I was hoping we would sign him, but we didn't and he went to Hull. Just after that I believe he got injured for a while.

I think this lad will be a long term target but I can't see us getting him until at least the summer and a lot of it will relate to where Hull finish.

Posted

think it will take more than that, didn't there owner say our last offer wouldn't buy is left foot?

Well, if we offer around £2.5m for both his legs and put them on Beckford and chuck in beckfords legs as part of the deal we can all be happy!

I'm sometimes at a loss to understand the mentality of Leicester fans.

They have a promising young and talented winger on their hands and he is an ungrateful Arseole for not wanting to sell him? He is a fool for wanting to keep hold of someone who could help them get to the Premier league? Have you ever thought that maybe Their chairman is just as desperate to get to the premier league as we are?

If anyone is sounding spoiled and ignorant its us.... Do you guys honestly think that just because we have money that everyone else should just fall down in front of us and give us their best players?

Its just embarrassing to read.... it honestly is......

As Babylon touched on, I didn't say that he was a fool because he's not rolled over and sold him to us. More so because of the way he's gone about it. Turn the bids down by all means, that's his perogative, but he's acting like a child in coming out in the media like he has. Wasn't so long ago they were buying players from us in near enough the same position.

I don't think you'll get Cameron in this transfer window unless you go to 4 million! The kids good and got bags of potential but still early days for him. go's missing in games, but can make the one run that will score you a goal. Has terrific pace. Better off staying with the mighty Tigers at this stage of his career though. You can have James Harper and Paul Mcshane if you want? Say 3 mill for the pair??

Divide that figure by 3 mill and I'll think about it.

In that case Adam you can stick it up your bollocks. Considering I paid 300K for the lad £4m is a joke. He's a bit of a little pussy anyway. Your loss since you can't afford fork out for any decent players yourself.

And stop being so ungrateful, you're only in the top 6 because of the team I built.

And all those smiles when I was at Hull - I faked them. I used you to make LCFC jealous and realise they shouldn't have dumped me in the first place. LCFC is my true love.
