Nigel Pearson targets former charge Cameron Stewart

Cameron Stewart isn't for sale

At this stage of the season, we are quietly confident of a crack at promotion

Everyone is for sale.

Not so confident after your last three games!

Its clearly down to Stewart, Hull have made it clear they are not willing to sell, unfortunately IF Stewart asks to leave then it could turn sour and fast. If Stewart doesn't want to leave, then fair doos, we will look else where, we have the funds to do so.

However correct me if I'm wrong, but we can't be that bothered as no body has yet "Jizzed".......

At this stage of the season, we are quietly confident of a crack at promotion.. why would we derail that by selling one of our best players to a rival promotion candidate..?

Contrary to popular opinion on this board, Hull City don't need any dubious Thai baht, our new chairman is richer than the British Queen and he wont do business with Nigel Pearson

Where have I heard this before? lol

Eh..?

Granted we didn't have a great xmas results wise..but the performances have been consistently good, this young side is a joy to watch and far better than the class of 2008 that went up

To be fair to Hull, they have a tidy little side currently. I'd not want to lose many of their players, but we want Stewart and we'll probably get him.

At least we seem to be going in with sensible bids this time, rather than offering ridiculous money early on.

Hull won't sell to us their bitter, even tho they don't realise we've given them Pearson, Fryatt, Solano, Hobbs, and also Waggy on loan they wont take that into consideration do they.

Yes Stewart is a quality player no doubt about it but I seriously think we should take a gamble on young Jamie Vardy, this lad has potential and we can get him for a decent fee and I could promise you that he would tear defenders hair out because he has determination, pace, agility, and an eye for goal

Beginning to think that the only way we will get him is if he hands in a transfer request, which seems unlikely.

Surely thats all we are looking for, the bids were never going to be accepted...im hoping that this is all a smokescreen and our business is being done in private with someone who is neutral towards us and wont try to rip us off

We have tried, they have made their position clear so lets move on. The problem with doing business in the Jan transfer window it is a sellers market and usually carried out as a desperate measure, all clubs are aware of this so unless you are bidding for a player whose contract expires in the summer waste of time IMO.

His agent could start causing problems, with all these comments from Adam Pearson soon enough they will start to wonder if he's so valuable to Hull why are his wages lower then some of their other "stars"

Posted

Adam Pearson is acting like a little child throwing his toys out of his pram and i for one would be pretty embarrassed as a hull fan if that was my owner. But i doubt stewart will come like others have said unless he demands a move.

But it's nothing more than a clear attempt by Nigel to unsettle him. He valued Stewart at £5m when he was here so he knows full well what we will value him at himself.

I'm sometimes at a loss to understand the mentality of Leicester fans.

They have a promising young and talented winger on their hands and he is an ungrateful Arseole for not wanting to sell him? He is a fool for wanting to keep hold of someone who could help them get to the Premier league? Have you ever thought that maybe Their chairman is just as desperate to get to the premier league as we are?

If anyone is sounding spoiled and ignorant its us.... Do you guys honestly think that just because we have money that everyone else should just fall down in front of us and give us their best players?

Its just embarrassing to read.... it honestly is......

He's ungrateful to Pearson on the whole.

I'm not saying he should accept derisory money from us or anything like that, but the way he goes on at NP is laughable.

And you believed that?

No, but his comments were representative of hull as the hull manager then. He knows the current representatives of hull would share a similar sentiment.

I'm kinda surprised Nigel Pearson is making such a pigs ear of this transfer window..

His dealings 12 months ago were concluded on the 1st January.. His two January signings Aaron McLean and Matty Fryatt were unveiled on New Years Day, I could be mistaken but I think McLean was on the bench vs Leicester that day..

From an outsiders perspective, Leicester seem to enjoy bragging about how much baht their owners got.. It follows that LCFC have little option but to pay premium baht for transfer fees/wages.. Paying modern day footballers inflated salaries doesn't always guarantee success on the pitch, particularly at Championship level..

Treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen..

Yeh..?

If 'targetting players we need' is making a pig's ear of it then yes he is. He also isn't throwing silly money round. We weren't exactly worried about keeping Fatty either, which is why is was probably easier to push through.

You do know that other teams and players also have a say in these matters?

I hope this happens but I can't see it. Although when agents get involved and see the £££££ it gets messy so lets hope his agent gets him to hand in a transfer request. But not hopeful.
