Leicester_Loyal Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 I don't think we need him, nugent is a top striker and we've got beckford, waghorn on the way back, schlupp in 8 weeks. I would look to bring in some new midfielders and a cheaper option up front as back up. Like Gary madine or a prem player on loan. We've got one good striker, Nugent. Beckford has been piss poor almost every single game hes played in. Waghorn was crap, thats why he was loaned out, even Hull don't rate him. Schlupp is out for 8 weeks but doesn't even look like getting double figures in a season so far. He needs to improve and become a better player, once he does this he will no doubt be a good championship striker.

Must be why a whole host of Prem clubs are going to pay many, many millions for him then When Danns chose us over Rangers it was because in pre-season promotion looked likely, now we have to be honest & say that's going to be a challenge, for that reason & the extra year or more in the Championship it's unlikely we'll be able to compete with Premier league clubs like we could in the summer, it's going to be much harder to attract them being 12pts off the top than it was when we were amongst the favourites. We'd have to pay massively more money than a Prem club

Doncaster have a philosophy of loaning players and helping to move them on to bigger things. In that team Sharp will never be playing in a settled side and Doncaster are more than likely not to progress beyond a side fighting relegation. He would be stupid to not move whether to us or somewhere else. Mad now stupid nxt he will be a fvcking idiot if he don't leave. It's his choice and for a young man is going through a lot right now. He also has a partrner to consider. So he gives it another 12 months then moves when his personal life is a little better.

We have almost as much chance as everyone else from 5th to 15th as there is so little to choose between the sides points wise. A good second half to the season and who knows...

I can't many jumping at the chance to work with Pearson, especially with his track record of falling out with players.

Their team is not blessed with outstanding talent and I doubt are providing Sharp with with a bucketload of easy chances to score on a plate. He blatantly has a knack of scoring goals with little or no service as a lot of goals I've seen him score have come from his own ingenuity. I don't think saying he will be shit with us because of "no service" is fair at all.

Sorry I am with cc on this one. Just to get in the final play off spot we need to pick up 5 points more than 6 other clubs. Not counting goal difference yes that could mean 4pts will do but unlikely. If we was asking 2 clubs then i would say yes we stand a good chance of making that final spot. But 6 clubs to drop in form is a big ask and with our form this season.

I haven't heard of any specific interest in him from Prem clubs since the window opened. Rangers financial situation appears to have worsened recently to such an extent that they'll have to drop his price. Who knows?

They were loan signings when they had no better offers... And we paid a big fee plus wages to have Yakubu...

Pearson will have no trouble attracting great young players & when his winning mentality is stamped back on the side the sky will be the limit.

They came for the wages, Sven was also in for Kebe & others... give me a Sharp anyway over a Kamara & Burma... Johnson, Kirkland & any other non-achieving 'name' too, you've got to be having a laugh. Yak cost £1m just to loan & was on unsustainable bucks too
