Happy Fox Posted 4 January 2012 Author Posted 4 January 2012 When I watched our defeat to Sheffield Utd in the Youth cup there was two players who stood out for me. Jordan Slew and Harry Maguire. Maguire won everything in the air, we didn't stand a chance. He has definitely got potential a first team regular this season albeut in league one, has a towering presence certainly a good someone to have on the bench pushing for a first team place.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 George Taft has a towering presence why don't we give him a chance?
Happy Fox Posted 4 January 2012 Author Posted 4 January 2012 George Taft has a towering presence why don't we give him a chance? He is a LB, not a CB.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 I know Taft and he says he is a lot more comfortable playing centre back than he is left back also at kettering he played centre back?
Lambert09 Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 I dont have any negative feelings towards SSL, he wants to play for his country, he has a great chance but staying here could ruin it for him. Why should he have any loyalty to our club? Fair play to him. Its another one off the wage bill and the ego bill
Simo86 Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 George Taft has a towering presence why don't we give him a chance? The fact that he was on loan at Kettering and not a football league club suggests that he isn't ready for the championship
MPH Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 I know people have slated SSL about his attitude and talked about his big wage ect. But i actually find a bit of respect for him in it all. He is on a very big wage (and well done to him for getting that) but he is more interested in playing for his country and playing first team football. Has he handled it all well? probably not, but at least he shows that he wants to play...
bluearmyfox23 Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Well that is average wage at our club now!!
Tielemans63 Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 The fact that he was on loan at Kettering and not a football league club suggests that he isn't ready for the championship Spot on. I've watched him several times at Nene Park and he's defo not ready for the Champ IMHO. Decent in the air but positional play and passing aren't great. To be fair he's quit Poppies as apparently he wants experience at a League club. I think L2/L1 is about his level to be honest.

Why should he have any loyalty to our club? Fair play to him. Its another one off the wage bill and the ego bill Erm being paid ridiculous wages since he came here ? or doesn't being paid have any loyalty anymore .
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 How about St Ledger & Howard & £3m for Rhodes. There have been rumours for a season or 2 that they have been after Howard.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 I reckon SSL + 3m will do the trick for Rhodes?

Simo86 Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 Ipswich are interested - http://www.twtd.co.u...p?storyid=19878 A team in Serie A?! Trapattoni's doing?
Bettsj2 Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 I just want him to **** off. He's a decent player but he's also turned out to be a complete bellcheese. Just **** off St Ledger.
MikeyT Posted 5 January 2012 Posted 5 January 2012 Fourth_Official Fourth Official Sean St Ledger looks like he could be on his way out of Leicester, with Preston & Ipswich front runners for his signature #LCFC
Happy Fox Posted 5 January 2012 Author Posted 5 January 2012 Any players to exchange with Ipswich I like the look of Josh Carson
MikeyT Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/7417373/ Ipswich Town manager Paul Jewell has admitted that he is not sure whether Leicester City defender Sean St Ledger will sign for his team in January. St Ledger has fallen out of favour at Leicester and Ipswich have been linked with a move to bring the 27-year-old to Portman Road. Jewell is looking to shore up his back four but he is unsure whether he will be able to convince the centre-back to play for his team for the second half of the 2011/12 season. "Central defence is an area we are looking to improve," he said on Saturday. "I've spoken to (Leicester manager) Nigel Pearson and the player's agent but there's a few clubs in for Sean and it now depends on the player."
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 How can PNE afford him? Hopefully he goes soon.
