burni Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Atleast its been sorted, hes a player who wants to be part of every game and it doesnt look like we would ever give him that
goose2010 Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 saw this on sky sports news last night apprently it is a loan with an option to buy at the end of the season. If it is this at elast he wont be able to pop up and score the winner against us later in the year!
L4EV Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Being heavily linked with Leeds, I'd take him in a heart beat. Even if he is average he's a cut above what we have back there.
flowwolf Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Being heavily linked with Leeds, I'd take him in a heart beat. Even if he is average he's a cut above what we have back there. Except that he is not even average. He was no better than we already had and for a club that is hell bent on going forward he was just not good enough for us. At his age he was never going to be good enough for the prem if he was he would be playing there now. Ipswich are about his level and good riddance to the mardy arse.
cuddly ken Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Wonder if NP will have a change of heart after such high interest in SSL?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Wonder if NP will have a change of heart after such high interest in SSL? i doubt it buddy, he wants to move on, we want him to move on
cuddly ken Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Not so sure, as SSL is very popular with the rest of the squad plus there were quite a few clubs in for him which may change NP decision. If I were a betting man id have a punt before the odds went to evens!

stourbridgefox Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Well there's our replacement for Bamba. Well done to him for sorting it with Nigel.
Tielemans63 Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Maybe Tunch is injured again? Either that or NP had expected to have brought in a new CB by now?
Guppy Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at Leeds before the Forest game.
unreachable Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 It would be bad management on NP's part to sell SSL until he has adequate cover for the centre back position. I would expect a new centre half to be signed before SSL's departure.
Lambert09 Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 He will still go, Nigel just knows we need cover and can't rely on one of the younger lads
Tielemans63 Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Maybe he's managed to fall out with Jewell & Grayson before he even plays for them!?
DanTheFox07 Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 think as other`s have said will wait until were gaurenteed some cover and then we can let him move?
dimmerchant Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 I don't really know the circumstances, but what with Bamba off at the ACON, if I were SSL I'd just swallow my pride and go and suck off Nige.
thybluefox Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 I don't really know the circumstances, but what with Bamba off at the ACON, if I were SSL I'd just swallow my pride and go and suck off Nige. It'd be more than just your pride that you'd be swallowing then!
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 St Ledger doesn't just sound dumb, he's now proved it! Why would you throw your toys out the pram when your guaranteed a run of games? Mills & Bamba as a partnership have kept near enough all our clean sheets so what makes him thinks he deserves to keep his place.
Kitchandro Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 I thought we were getting rid of him because he is a disruptive influence? Seems strange that Nige would keep on someone who he's admitted to not wanting.
goose2010 Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 2 games in 4 days might be too much for tunchev especially with one that could go to 120minutes. Keeping SSL until after the game is a great decision put him on the bench (as we can name 7) and then if required use him.
Babylon Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 I thought we were getting rid of him because he is a disruptive influence? Seems strange that Nige would keep on someone who he's admitted to not wanting. As we don't know the ins and outs it's hard to say, but it does look as though one of them has had to swallow their pride.
