Master Fox Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 Farewell sweet prince. You will always be known as a Leicester City great. I feel blessed to have witnessed his brilliance grace the Filbert Way Stadium turf. He will be missed...
Saxondale Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 The only surprise, really, is that it's taken this long. Hopefully he'll find a new club fairly swiftly.
accessory Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 About time too. This should have happened in the summer.
MrFox781 Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 Shud have happened ages ago. Good luck anyway for the future.
Captain... Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 don't let the door hit you on the way out, actually if you could prop it open I am expecting a few more to follow, maybe open the double doors to let Johnson through.
VinceNoir Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 I had forgotten about him. Oh well, good luck to the guy wherever he goes.
Head Honcho Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 The only surprise, really, is that it's taken this long. Hopefully he'll find a new club fairly swiftly. Just let's hope it's a Golf Club aye. Crikey, Sousa bought some rubbish!
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 Still never saw him in his real position. On the pitch?
marbelladave Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 I guess I'm probably the only one who sees this as another wasted opportunity........ For those few minutes when I saw him play in his proper position I thought he looked a composed and disciplned defensive midfield player. Effective defensively, on the ground at least, he looked very tidy, good in possession too. Less energetic than Abe but more composed, given the chance I thought he might have anchored our midfield in a manner that no one else has managed in recent times, shame.... <_<
lcfcliam Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 There's just no point in even watching City anymore if were losing players like him

marbelladave Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 Just pointing out that, in recent years,a fair number of good players have come to our club and completely underperformed........ Up front Gradel, Campbell and now Beckford have comprehensively failed to live up to expectations, it took us about 6 months (last season) to work out that Vitor was comfortably the best defender at the club and this season we have had an international, ex EPL defensive midfield player who could barely get a game...... Kermorgant, for example, has scored 7 in just 13 starts for Charlton, would be a far better option than Howard as someone to lead the line and bring players like Beckford into the game, might even score a few too but like so many others he was never given the chance. Less than a couple of weeks ago we had two virtual debutants come in and play well, contributing to an excellent result and a better than usual performance, how many other players have fallen through the cracks due to the lack of opportunity?
StanSP Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 Best player City have had for the past few seasons. Shame he didn't even get a look in this season. Fully deserved it.
Dan Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 Never had a real fair crack here and he definitely wouldn't be a contender for one of our worst players, but as someone said that's three managers who've totally overlooked him so he clearly lacks something. Wish him the best of luck though, it's a shame that really this move has spoiled his career.

He was given the chance and he was shit, he didnt always play up front with us, but when he did he wasnt good enough. Moreno was played at CB and looked poor, never saw him in the holding role, but I trust that NP didnt think he was good enough. Wasted money on him thats for sure.

Thought he could have done a decent job.
marbelladave Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 All managers are different and get on better with some players than others, I'm not blaming NFP here, more of a general point. I'm pretty old school, before splashing more money on new players I want to see that we are getting the best from the players we do have. I know that players have to show something in training in order to feature on matchdays but given the woeful performances from a fair few of our regulars I am dissapointed that so few of our 'fringe' players get a look in. As I said earlier, Kennedy and Moore came in and did very good jobs, who's to say that others wouldn't do the same? Just rotating the same tired old faces is getting us nowhere and players of 'proven' quality do not seem interested in coming to us.......

Agree, I reckon this season particularly we should be in a reserve league to allow fringe players (Kennedy, Moreno, Johnson) to earn themselves a spot in the first team.
