Happy Fox Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 Firstly before the last two games nobody would have missed SSL. Secondly it's SSL that is pretty much demanding first team football, that is what caused any bust up and that is why he is on the transfer list. He wants first team football to make sure he's in Irelands starting line up come the Euros. If he was prepared to fight for his place then we wouldn't even be having this discussion, it has nothing to do with Pearson. He has inherited this situation from Sven. Thirdly, speak for yourself. Everyone doesn't prefer SSL. I prefer people who will play for the club without throwing their toys out, and I want people who Pearson believes are good enough. He did ok the last two games, but look back at the two games and Saints / Forest could easily have scored a couple of goals each had they had a bit of luck. So lets not make out we're suddenly solid as a rock at the back. Because we aren't. If being solid at the back constitutes clean sheets then isn't that what has happened? you cannot deny the partnership of Mills and St Ledger is looking good atm
Filbert_Ross Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 If being solid at the back constitutes clean sheets then isn't that what has happened? you cannot deny the partnership of Mills and St Ledger is looking good atm clean sheets yes in both them games but i wouldn't say 'solid at the back' poor finishing from Forest and Saints more like.
wattolcfc Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 If being solid at the back constitutes clean sheets then isn't that what has happened? you cannot deny the partnership of Mills and St Ledger is looking good atm Perhaps but if Forest and Soton's strikers could finish, then we would have conceded a fair few. They both missed sitters.
Babylon Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 If being solid at the back constitutes clean sheets then isn't that what has happened? you cannot deny the partnership of Mills and St Ledger is looking good atm Being solid at the back constitutes not giving the oppo' many chances. Both teams could have scored a couple of goals each quite easily on another day. We created so many more chances the ones they had tend to be forgotten!

I would I have said for month's and on here him and Danns should be given a chance. and posted numerous times that NP had not kept his word on giving everyone a fair chance. He's had to do it now and look at what we have been treated too. And yes we can still get better but we seemed to have turned a corner.
whitwickfox Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 Just a smoke screen to put pressure on forest. He knows hull won't sell to him.
Babylon Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 and posted numerous times that NP had not kept his word on giving everyone a fair chance. And numerous times you would have been wrong then, because he never said he would give everyone game time. Big difference between a chance and games.
wellyfox Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 And numerous times you would have been wrong then, because he never said he would give everyone game time. Big difference between a chance and games. So correct. So praps his judgement is not always that good. Or do you stand in the Bamba is the best think since sliced bread camp?
wellyfox Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 What bid have we put in? 2 new fishing boats and a couple of spare nets. Well we might as well of made that offer they ain't gonna accept.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 2 new fishing boats and a couple of spare nets. Well we might as well of made that offer they ain't gonna accept. your probably right, its a bit ironic, their attitude over Pearson when they nicked him off us to start with
Nick Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 How many defenders are we buying, how many do we need and why?
Corky Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 Or do you stand in the Bamba is the best think since sliced bread camp? Having just tucked into a delightful and welcome bag of Cool Original Doritos I would have to say he's the best thing since those. Sliced bread can fvck off.
StrovolosTiger Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 your probably right, its a bit ironic, their attitude over Pearson when they nicked him off us to start with That's not how it happened and you know it. Whether you, the fans, wanted to get rid of Pearson or not at the time, I have no idea. But your board made no effort to keep him. Pearson's agent put it out on the grapevine that he was not happy where he was and interested in a move. Adam Pearson, on hearing this, asked permission to speak to him and was immediately given permission.

Which ever way you cut the mustard pal it amounts to the same thing, we didnt want Pearson to go (the fans) but you lot seem very bitter, no need really
foxfanazer Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 So correct. So praps his judgement is not always that good. Or do you stand in the Bamba is the best think since sliced bread camp? Ahh sliced bread, what a centre back!

Why are you dull fans so bitter towards leicester fans,we let you have waggy on loan, and matty fryatts transfer fee was spread over a peroid of time, and according to club sources all the payments have not beeen completed yet,so tell me what have dull done to help leicester-F.A.

We let you have Pearson back. Where do you get this "bitter" comment from? We aren't bitter. If you are talking about the Stewart thing, that wasn't bitterness, that was simply the fact we wanted to keep the player and the player didn't want to leave.
Libertine Dream Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 We let you have Pearson back. Where do you get this "bitter" comment from? We aren't bitter. If you are talking about the Stewart thing, that wasn't bitterness, that was simply the fact we wanted to keep the player and the player didn't want to leave. Well having read some comments on here from Hull fans Id say it was bitterness. And then Adam Pearson's comments were as laughable and childish as they get.
My only Leicester! Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 Ahh sliced bread, what a centre back!

If you are talking about the Stewart thing, that wasn't bitterness, that was simply the fact we wanted to keep the player and the player didn't want to leave. No, you really didn't. You were desperate to keep him but it became crystal clear that he had no loyalty to you and wanted to come back here making it impossible for you to keep hold of him. You had him on loan, he did a good job for you, now he's back where he belongs.

Now now Babs, you've been here long enough to know you can't start utilising rational thought in any thread, let alone one in the transfers section.
