Guest Col city fan Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 I confess for a while I thought Wes Morgan was the guy who elbowed Iain Hume in the head for a while and wondered why you all were rating him! Dont be so bloody daft! That was Wes CRAVEN.. director of the 'Nightmare on Elm Street' Movies... Thought everyone knew that!
RedHux Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Spoke to a couple of Forest fans today at work and they feel like this is the final nail in the coffin. They also said they can't blame Wes for moving. Is this the general feeling? Yep. Almost everybody says this. You get the odd halfwit but this is very much the view of the majority.
RedHux Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Call me crazy, but the fella has proven himself before at forest as a utility player, particularly up front. He's a big bugger - perhaps we'll be using him as a back up for Steve Howard? You're crazy. He's never been a utility player. He's been the big lump that you send up front in the 88th minute when you're looking for goal, but never in a million years a utility player. You will however watch on in amazement and amusement when he makes one of his skill full runs down the wing.
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Make no bones about it... The Florists could well be relegated this season
FoxyPV Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Maybe we going to play 3-5-2 and having an extra CB as cover?
easilee Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Wes Morgan very nearly smiles at becoming a City player. I have no option but to treat him with suspicion until he proves himself.
z-layrex Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 My mate said Florist have not scored at the City Ground since 19 November? Jesus.
RedHux Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 'tis true. Another depressing statistic is since we beat beat Ipswich we hadn't managed to score a single goal....until we played Ipswich again. Since then, we've scored against West Ham and that's it. So on deadline day we bring in two defenders and another defensive midfielder. Either SC is a genius and I can't see it yet or we're royally ****ed.
Guy Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Make no bones about it... The Florists could well be relegated this season Yes, a step further tonight towards relegation after their 0-2 home defeat to Burnley.
Ozwin Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 I was told he's made like 300/400 appearances for Forest earlier, is that right? That's crazy if true, why would he leave to a rival just like that if he's more or less a bit of a legend? Isn't Forest his boyhood club too? Maybe I'm just being old fashioned but it's got to be a bit of a kick in the teeth? It's almost betrayal!
RedHux Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 400 and a bit. He's from the Meadows which is a delightful picturesque area of Nottingham and has been with us since he was about 15 or so. It's not a kick in the teeth at all. Loyalty goes both ways and Wes deserves better then he's getting at Forest. Fair play to him. I even started watching the stream of your game tonight to see him but was confronted by two Thai chaps in City shirts!
Bryn Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Could do with him on, Jutciewicz is all over St. Ledger.
Fox1651 Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Think he will be in the side soon after SSL performance tonight apparently
Bettsj2 Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Could do with him on, Jutciewicz is all over St. Ledger. Anyone wondering why we've signed him should find the answer in the game tonight.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Morgan instead of SSL in the next game please
Leicester_Loyal Posted 25 October 2012 Posted 25 October 2012 Are you kidding? We just gave them £1m to spend on a player that might keep them up, whilst taking a donkey off their hands at the same time. Not that I'm against this signing or anything Pointless signing. Anyway, welcome Wes. 1 million for a pretty average player of limited ability with not much chance of improving??? don't get it myself but hope he does well for us. We seem to be collecting centre halves a little like we used to collect right backs. Pointless signing! Just going to disrupt a now solid partnership in Mills and St ledger because he's obviously not come here to be a bench warmer. Totally underwhelmed by this signing! Apologise for doubting Big Wes lads
Kitchandro Posted 25 October 2012 Posted 25 October 2012 Apologise for doubting Big Wes lads Sorry Westley. Everytime I saw him play for them he looked total garbage but he's proved me wrong since hes been here.
Jace Posted 25 October 2012 Posted 25 October 2012 Apologise for doubting Big Wes lads I think Wes has shocked everyone, possibly the best rated centre back in the Championship now. I thought he was crap back in Jan and I certainly wasn't the only 1 who got it wrong members like Kitch and Bilo usually make good posts! Genius by Pearson
I am Rod Hull Posted 25 October 2012 Posted 25 October 2012 I think Wes has shocked everyone, possibly the best rated centre back in the Championship now. I thought he was crap back in Jan and I certainly wasn't the only 1 who got it wrong members like Kitch and Bilo usually make good posts! Genius by Pearson I think you need to apologise to Bilo, the quote was from Bilbo
Leicester_Numan Posted 25 October 2012 Posted 25 October 2012 Apologise for doubting Big Wes lads You weren't the only one. I didn't like him at Forest, I thought he was slow, lumbering and overweight but he was consistent from the off, here. Now having had a pre-season under Pearson's fitness regime he looks a different player and the captaincy has brought out the best in him. Turned out to be as inspired a signing as a certain big, slow central defender from Wigan
Leicester_Loyal Posted 25 October 2012 Posted 25 October 2012 Got to agree myself lads, thought he was an average championship CB, nothing more. Pearson knows his CBs, thats for sure. Go on Wes!
