Just to dismantle the opposition to this chant.

1) "It's been copied, it's Crystal Palace's chant."

About 95% of football chants are copied, does it really matter? It got us our second for sure. And no, it isn't Crystal Palace's chant. It's St. Pauli's.

2) "It's cringeworthy, let's sing WYS instead."

Yes, many of us would love to get WYS sung louder and slower than it currently is but why knock any other song that becomes popular? Why is it cringeworthy to support our team? Last night we were louder than Boro whilst they were celebrating their equaliser. I bet you're the same people that moan about lack of atmosphere so you should embrace it when it comes regardless of its medium.

3) "I'm 50 and I don't want to be jumping and swinging a scarf like a loony."

My relatives over 50 joined in and all do the poznan. However, if you don't want to fine. But you should seriously consider never attending a Leicester match again if you're going to slate OUR own fans for supporting OUR team.

No chance of me singing anything related to St Pauli let alone this shit.

We'll be singing "just can't get enough" next.......

We really did leave any originality at Filbert Street didnt we? Those were the days.

Like others have said it was special in L1 last night.

ANY noise is brilliant and beneficial.

A few games back we were slated for Booing and "not getting behind the boys"

Cant believe some "FAns' are moaning cos we DID make a noise.

The crap about copying other chants is a boring stupid sentiment as most chants etc are copied from someone.

A few of you fcukers need chill out or fcuk off shopping with the Mrs(if you have one) instead of going footy

It was crap. Just another song copied off many of the other clubs in our league. Typical that we latch onto a song about 18months after I first heard it at a match. It that song affected the players, then good. But it was cheesy as owt, especially the bit where no-one knew the words and it all went quiet bar the drum.

I also felt abit dirty for singing this against Southampton at first, but it's a great laugh and it really gets people going. Long may it continue.

One thing I would say is that this was a midweek game and they usually tend to have more of a buzz as far as atmosphere is concerned IMO.

Last night aside (and even that was only the second half, first half atmosphere was awful) I don't think this has been the case for quite a few years, like most say it was in the old days

That's the part where people listen to it so they can learn the words.

What do you expect them to do, just shout 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHH' like Bernie to the tune of the song?

Well to rectify this 'issue of originality', why don't you, instead of posting on here, get your brain in gear and come up with a song which creates some noise, that everybody can join in with that gets the crowd going. Then start it going at Brighton/Cardiff and we'll join in and maybe it will become 'ours' and therefore have the originality that you so desire.

Agreed, I didn't mean there hasn't been a good night atmosphere in years, I just mean in general night atmosphere's are worse and no one seems up for it, but ask people that used to go to Filbert Street in the 90s and before and most will say the night games were better.

I'm an old bastard now, my days of jumping up and down with a scarf have long gone. I'm not in a position to help, I did my shift of that whilst back at Filbert Street, it's time for the younger ones to step up with their wit and effort now. If this is it then so be it. It's not going to impress many of the old boys though.

Oh disabled off you tool!

disabled off you tool? lol lol

What a genius.

English Oxide you are a one for changing your views to be contrary aren't you, no change there then.

What are you talking about?

People need to seriously get ****ed being so pretentious, to be honest.

You cannot have your cake and eat it. Either we all sit in a morgue for ninety minutes and accept the complete death of football atmosphere or we embrace the few things that actually lift the mood in the ground and create a bit of noise. Who gives a shit if it isn't traditional? Football fans have always been sheep, you think ten thousand creative Scousers all got the idea to sing YNWA spontaneously? They were just singing along to a PA and it caught on!

And the irony is you defend the Poznan which is tacky, Butlins style slapstick comedy that does sod all for atmosphere anywhere else in the ground that should have stopped months ago.

You are simplifying it. You can have a good atmosphere without having to embrace the latest chant doing the rounds. You lose tradition by ignoring tradition. And i never defended the 'poznan'. I think that is tinpot and small time in the context that it is used too.

And your suggestion for a original song is what ? Only real ****ing sheep bleat about nothing !

Alright then. YOU come up with something better and we'll all join in against Cardiff.

Maybe do WYS with a bit more conviction? Or LCFC (RoF)? Those are our things and should be at the centre of any atmosphere we create, not the latest 'cool' thing to do.

Admittedly, i am a grumpy **** anyway, and am probably being a bit of a perfectionist. But we have some originality, lets use it as these are the sort of songs that will stick, where as 'We Love You' will fade out pretty soon and some other thing will be along. It's not a long term answer to our atmosphere and identity problems.
