m00nie Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Deary me, sweetheart. You really are a morbidly bitter cynic. Get help. "apparently" the people who told you not to sing it were at the ground, but you decided to come here the day after and make a thread about it.. (n as i said before even though we had one).. and yet im bitter.. ..

Vlad the Fox Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Same here Have been humming it all day at Sixth Form.. I was watching the clip posted on my phone earlier as my kids were climbing all over me. When i was bathing them later my 3 year old started singing it. I'll have to get them all a scarf now.

You'll never be satisfied. Pity.
Vlad the Fox Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Great thing about it is that you don't have to jump up and down and wave your scarf. People can just join in with the 'woah' bit if they want, regardless of where they are in the ground.
m00nie Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Well I'm not the person sitting on a forum, moaning because my club generated an atmosphere? Where's the logic? You'll never be satisfied. Pity. who is doing that then ????

Adster Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 I was watching the clip posted on my phone earlier as my kids were climbing all over me. When i was bathing them later my 3 year old started singing it. I'll have to get them all a scarf now. Good lad

Houdini Logic Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 hey im happy to sing along , but at the same time im happy to not join in if i dont want and no one is gona tell me to stay away from football if i dont want to sing... And I respect your right to not sing a song, even though you do actually want to sing it. Right, now that's sorted... oooOOOoooOOOoooOOOHHHH!!!
m00nie Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Just to clarify. I'm pro this song. Do you know what we're even talking about? zzzzz boring.. you want to sing it, you sing it... if someone tells you not to sing it, take it up with them , ( seeing as apparently it wasnt you they told and it wasnt even on here).. if people dont want to sing it then thats up to them, if people think its cringeworhty again thats up to them.. im off to have a shower.. i may even sing in it yet.... oooOOOoooOOOoooOOOHHHH!!

That's what I've been saying!!! Clearly we're poor communicators I would say 'Where you go, we'll follow' but if you're going for a shower, that might be a little inappropriate.

Filbert_Ross Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Some Merry old soul's in this thread ay. oooOOOoooOOOoooOOOHHHH!!!
FoxyLouby Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 I sit 5 rows back in C1 and it sounded bloody brilliant!! Couldn't make out alot of the words but the fact that other sections were catching on really lifted the atmosphere. We need more of this, who gives a flying fcuk if other club's fans do it aswell, surely our main priority is to get behind OUR team and not worry what other fans think of us?? I'm now on a personal mission to get some of the west stand fuddie duddies scarf waving at least!
markbsac Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 just stop bloody moaning support our club just how you want to...but please dont moan about those that are singing and trying to get behind the players...were foxes, were blues, even filberts as we used to be known....but come on guys please get behind the club that we all love so much..and stop bickering ffs !!!!
markbsac Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 west stand stiffs well b blocks...a and c are working progress !
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Jesus Crikey! This is one big cum-fest over a silly fooking chant...

The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 That's the part where people listen to it so they can learn the words. What do you expect them to do, just shout 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHH' like Bernie to the tune of the song? Fair enough. It doesn't detract from the fact that its unoriginal though. Yes it got the crowd going, three sides at once, but thats not because its a good song. It says more about our fans intelligence. Its an easy song to copy, EVERY club has the same words bar changing the name of the club they're singing about. I'm no 'chant snob' but I was actually really proud of the fact that our fans had avoided this song for x amount of months
Babylon Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 What is your point? I don't care if you don't join in. I said don't tell others how to support the team just because you don't approve. Stop the selective reading, you look like an idiot. What's my point? My point is you are taking one part of my post and then making out that I had slagged off people doing it. That's my point you utter cretin. You talk about selective reading and then take one part of my post and completely ignore the rest of it where I completely approved with people doing it. It's a bit lame, I certainly won't be doing it any time soon. Having said that if it gets more people actually supporting the team vocally around the ground and creates a better atmosphere then i'm not going to knock anyone doing it. Hopefully it leads on to other songs and gets people joining in with those as well. Rather than repeating it over and over and over until it dies a death. When Boro scored their second any neutrals watching would have been forgiven for thinking it was us who just scored. Certainly beats heckling the players and being negative. Just to dismantle the opposition to this chant. 3) "I'm 50 and I don't want to be jumping and swinging a scarf like a loony." My relatives over 50 joined in and all do the poznan. However, if you don't want to fine. But you should seriously consider never attending a Leicester match again if you're going to slate OUR own fans for supporting OUR team. There has been about one person on here being critical, even talkingballs approve and they will usually grasp any opportunity to have a moan. If someone has said something to you sort it out with them rather than doing the big man superfan routine on here, when it's actually received almost complete support.
Babylon Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 I didn't stand up, jump about or swing my scarf yesterday (it was far too cold) - but at the same time I'd never say anything like the bold above. Could be the difference... And? You think the people mostly doing it aren't kids (to me anyone under 25 is a kid). People and the things they like change with age, so what. I'm not having a go at people doing stuff like that, been there and done it.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Never known a chant to divide people so deeply. Usually it's just the players or the manager, The point is any noise is good noise at the KP and the "kids" are the fans who will carry on what happens at the KP we all have stories of Filbert street what will happen when our kids are going with us asking about the old days at the kp? "Oh i moaned about what to sing and soon no one could be arsed now eat your pie son we have to leave ten minutes before the end to sit in the car" I can't wait

It's almost overwhelming support.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Looking at all 9 pages i'd say it's 60/40 not to mention a whole thread on "chant snobs" now just passing a comment on IMO it's stupid not to chant it although one of the people in K block snapped my chair by jumping on it so my history with this chant isn't so memorable just yet
