Fair enough. It doesn't detract from the fact that its unoriginal though. Yes it got the crowd going, three sides at once, but thats not because its a good song. It says more about our fans intelligence. Its an easy song to copy, EVERY club has the same words bar changing the name of the club they're singing about.

I'm no 'chant snob' but I was actually really proud of the fact that our fans had avoided this song for x amount of months

I swear you always come on these boards complaining about how the atmosphere isn't very good at the KP, but as soon as we manage to make any atmosphere you shoot it down instantly due to the fact that it isn't "original". Maybe you should take your head out of the clouds and realise that although we didn't invent the chant ourselves (neither did Palace but that's a story for another day) the fact that singing it actually got a bit of atmosphere back into the stadium is a good thing.

It really irks me when people get the hump because we sing something that another club also sings. Who cares? As long as it's supporting the team and making some noise I'm all for it.

Just posted this on the 'chant snobs' thread as well. Thought I'd stick it on here for another airing and have a double rant, it's been one of those days!

"having a read of some of the comments on this thread, and many others, it's clear to me that the main problem is not the layout of the stadium, or the away fans not being near the kop or in fact the songs we sing, the problem with our atmosphere is everyone trying to get one up on someone else.

We have people being told to sing or go home, others saying how cringeworthy the chants are, some won't join in because they're not original and others telling people to come up with something original. Football chants are not born on a chat forum, football chants are born through support.

Where I sit (SK4) you have a bunch of lads who think they are better than everyone else because they sing and others don't. People get a little peeved at them because they then remind the other, quieter fans that they are better than them and they should f**k off home.

This is the problem for me. If everyone got down off their high horse for a moment and realise that we all support the club, just in different ways, then maybe, just maybe there would be a coming together. Maybe more and more would join in without feeling the pressure to do so and rebelling against it. Then they would have no come back about how it's not original or it's embarrassing.

We all have something in common, we all support Leicester and we all like watching football matches. Why does someone have to be better all the time?

Those who sing, sing. Don't criticise those who don't.

And those who don't sing, don't sing. Don't criticise those who do."

Anyway, my point is we all have different views but (getting all dramatical about it! ) we are all tied together with the same bond. We're brothers man, why do we always have to fight about who is better than who?

"apparently" the people who told you not to sing it were at the ground, but you decided to come here the day after and make a thread about it.. (n as i said before even though we had one).. and yet im bitter.. lol..

Dear Moonie I know fox's never quit but I wish you would. You flogging a dead horse son. It was sensational and everyone will be singing it at Brighton and at home from now on---live with !

I agree Flowy...

I thought the 'new chant' on weds night was great!

I can't stop fookin hummin it! Sad fooker that I am!

I actually felt, maybe wrongly, that the fans DID have an impact in us getting back into the game, especially in Beckford actually who seemed to be 'playing to the crowd'...

Maybe that was the problem with Becks after all.. If he feels 'loved' it massively improves his game..

Well done the boys on Weds night... The noise was grand!!

Spot on Pal ! ! ! Any 'positive' Noise/Support that comes from the crowd will give the lads on the pitch a boost.. and surely that's exactly what we want.. as well as enjoying ourselves at the same time!

I for one will continue to sing/chant this tune with others and be happy to do so! See you at brighton :D

It does if they'd prefer no songs to be sung at all, and the stadium to be like a morgue for every game.

best atmosphere for ages. we could hear it in SK2 and loads joined in, although it was only the 'woah woah' bit. still, i've learnt the words now so i'll sing it properly. we must keep it up, the players and manager said the crowd were fantastic on wednesday. you don't have to sing it, but i'm sure plenty will. hope it carries on, good idea whosever it was. thanks to foxestalk?

I know this has been said every time you post but with your record I'm glad you're staying away.

Cos knowing us we'd probably lose lulz ffs.

I sit 5 rows back in C1 and it sounded bloody brilliant!! Couldn't make out alot of the words but the fact that other sections were catching on really lifted the atmosphere.

We need more of this, who gives a flying fcuk if other club's fans do it aswell, surely our main priority is to get behind OUR team and not worry what other fans think of us??

I'm now on a personal mission to get some of the west stand fuddie duddies scarf waving at least!

That would be me then. And yes, i was waving my scarf.

What next? Marching on together? Don't forget your scarf! Criiiiiiiiiiiiinge.
