stix Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 Cook goes. 48-1 Looked a little harsh to me. Have only seen the one replay so far to be fair though.
Alexikokopops Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 This isnt going well. Not too bad now, TOUCH WOOD. Who'd have thought Bell would be steadying the ship with Trott?
purpleronnie Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 well I suppose its set up for bell, he doesnt have to kae any shots just stay in, looking good now.
Guest MattP Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 That umpire needed shooting for the Cook decision mind, how can he be certain that's out when Cook is 2 inches from it? As for KP Very nice though, completely outplayed them over the course of the last three test, I've got a lovely bottle of champagne in for tomorrow morning. Going to be collecting a nice little sum on a series win for xmas.
Corky Posted 16 December 2012 Posted 16 December 2012 Loving the Indian players surrounding the umpire after Trott's "edge" was not given out. Who knows, with DRS it might've been given out? Lovely stuff.

Guest MattP Posted 17 December 2012 Posted 17 December 2012 Just about sobered up. What a series, awesome, not bad for a team in decline
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 December 2012 Posted 18 December 2012 Just about sobered up. What a series, awesome, not bad for a team in decline Could say the same about the Indians tho! Credit where credit is due always tough to get a series win in India. Baffles me why when they needed the win they batted so slowly, was a tought pitch granted but they just weren't positive enough for mine.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 December 2012 Posted 18 December 2012 Currently watch DRS ruin test matchs. Been 4 or 5 DRS descions reversed in a little over a session.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 December 2012 Posted 18 December 2012 Just when you think you've seen it all desperate for wickets and last over before tea we gave Matty Wade our keeper a bowl. Wasn't the worst either bowled 132kph and got some good bounce. Oh and he bowled a maiden! The injury to Hilfenhaus is killing us, just like the SA test bowling with a spinner and only 2 quicks is tough.
Aus Fox Posted 18 December 2012 Posted 18 December 2012 What about siddle the fiddle surly banned for the rest of the series for the ball tampering incident

No doubt, people were jumping on ours backs after the first test though saying it's a guaranteed 4-0 whitewash. Good win for you lot that, I went bed about 4am here when it was 4 down and I'd have wanted pretty decent odds on you taking 6 wickets in a session.
Corky Posted 18 December 2012 Posted 18 December 2012 First series home defeat for India in 8 years. Despite theor fading forces, it's still a hell of a record to break.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 December 2012 Posted 18 December 2012 What about siddle the fiddle surly banned for the rest of the series for the ball tampering incident Is this a joke? Banned for the series It's a still picture of him holding the ball at the top of his mark. How any one can say that evidence of ball tampering is beyond belief.
The People's Hero Posted 21 December 2012 Posted 21 December 2012 Why I asked my wicketkeeper to bowl I've done that quite a few times for a number of reasons. The captain does not need to justify himself in my opinion At that level, do you still need to get the approval of the opposing captain to do so? I know you do at the level at which I play. I've used the strategy to break a batsman's rhythm, run down the clock (in timed games) and also because our best wicket-keeper is also a more than handy spin bowler.
Corky Posted 21 December 2012 Posted 21 December 2012 The wicketkeeper is just another fielder, albeit a specialist, I see no problem in them bowling if they are good enough in the captain's view.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 Went Australia v Sri Lanka yesterday, good day Aussies played well except the last our when we chucked away 3 wickets. Spent a fair portion of the day at the bar over looking the ground and the luncheon break at the topless bar across the road. So all in all it was a good day
Alexikokopops Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 With both captains in superlative form it is going to be an epic Ashes year in 2013.

Alexikokopops Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 That's what we need at Lord's. Last time I went (West Indies test) the Spearmint Rhinos ladies were stamping hands on the way out that got you free entry to the one on Tottenham Court Road (a dangerous place). Sadly too far to go at lunch

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 1 January 2013 Posted 1 January 2013 It's opposite another ground with a couple of grandstands but it's not a ticket office and i think it's white outside and very basic looking inside. Can't believe Mike Hussey has retired, certaintly not ideal leading in to the ashes
