Corky Posted 25 March 2013 Posted 25 March 2013 It was a rhetorical question - I wasn't expecting an answer. Yeah, so far so good. Fingers crossed they keep it up. He's just done a classic on BBC Sport: Geoffrey Boycott, BBC Test Match Special "England have done well so far, but I really think New Zealand have missed a trick by not starting with Trent Boult. Bruce Martin wouldn't bowl my auntie out."
I am Rod Hull Posted 26 March 2013 Posted 26 March 2013 What a finish. Great advert for test cricket No fingernails left
Alexikokopops Posted 26 March 2013 Posted 26 March 2013 I love you Matt Prior. I love the fact that you have probably missed out on a century about 70 times by batting aggressively for the team and end up getting one in a fourth innings rearguard.
Alexikokopops Posted 26 March 2013 Posted 26 March 2013 Oh, and fair play to Ian Ronald and Stuart Allott as well.
purpleronnie Posted 26 March 2013 Posted 26 March 2013 It is only the third time in Test cricket that a team had gone into the final day of a match with four wickets down and avoided defeat.
kiwifox6 Posted 26 March 2013 Posted 26 March 2013 That was gutting yet upliftng! you have no idea how long we have been crying out for our lads to step up and put together a performance like that! well played Matt Prior! and to be fair think Stuart Broad deserves a heap of praise too! crucial time spent in the middle. If Vettori were fit it would have been different...
Corky Posted 26 March 2013 Posted 26 March 2013 What a finish. Great advert for test cricket It was. Shame they had to play it in the middle of the night but there you go. Prior is a world class player.
dogadug Posted 26 March 2013 Posted 26 March 2013 Monty Panesars dive in Was funny at the time and it still makes me smile watching it back
purpleronnie Posted 26 March 2013 Posted 26 March 2013 It was funny. Broad with a 50 partnership and getting 0 runs.....I'd be surprised if thats happend too many times before. Side note: How bad were the umpires?, not sure I've seen that many bad decisions before, thank you DRS.

Alexikokopops Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 Jessie Ryder's in critical condition in hospital after being assaulted in a bar while having a drink. Fractured skull and punctured lung.
theessexfox Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-21962728 full story Jeez, that's nasty. Hoping everything pans out okay
purpleronnie Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 new zealand has a surprisingly high crime rate, very sad, hope he pulls through.
Captain... Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 new zealand has a surprisingly high crime rate, very sad, hope he pulls through. It's all those non immigrants that cause the problems, if you believed the British immigrants I met when I was out there.

Guest MattP Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 Dont think ive ever felt as safe as I have ever been in a country as I have last week or so. Ryder is an absolute cnut mind, not surprised it happened to him. Aa for the test match, superb. Wonderful last day, im in Dubai for the next few days for the world cup but will whack some pics up when I get back, had a cracking lunch in the emirates businesa lounge with Vaughan, bumble, beefy, willis and few others yest.
Captain... Posted 28 March 2013 Posted 28 March 2013 no doubt. I did feel very safe when I was in NZ, so I'm surprised you say it has a surprisingly high crime rate, but then I shouldn't be surprised about that though. There were stories of a gang culture amongst the Maori Youth, not technically natives to New Zealand, but been living there a lot longer than the European immigrants, and the majority of the crime came through them.

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 2 April 2013 Posted 2 April 2013 Just got back from NZ, went to day 4 of the Eden Park test courtesy of a free ticket from KP. Was a cracking day of cricket and have a lot of respect for the Barmy Army for the sheer numbers in which they show up in.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Our squad for the Ashes Jackson Bird Michael Clarke Ed Cowan James Faulkner Brad Haddin (vc) Ryan Harris Phillip Hughes Usman Khawaja Nathan Lyon James Pattinson Chris Rogers Peter Siddle Mitchell Starc Matthew Wade David Warner Shane Watson Yep our selectors are fooking retarded bringing back Hadden 2 years after dropping him and then giving him the VC, Wade will now be a besignated batter. Great to see Buck Rogers at 35 get another go and Faulks get a call up.

Guest MattP Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 No Mitch Some good young players in that squad but its got to be the worst ashes squad the Aussies have sent over in my lifetime. Rogers looked past it last time I watched him in county cricket.
