AjcW Posted 11 May 2012 Posted 11 May 2012 Probably something to do with Liverpool being with god awful adiddas for years.... Anything seems better...
AyewJoking Posted 11 May 2012 Posted 11 May 2012 Charltons shirt appears ro be a bright red where as Liverpools is a darker shade. It also helps that the Liverpool strip is all one colour.
Haydos Posted 11 May 2012 Posted 11 May 2012 Charlton's was a garish red and just looked like a cheap fit.
Darkon84 Posted 11 May 2012 Posted 11 May 2012 EDIT: orignal post gone, can't be bothered with the arguments that would no doubt follow
Kitchandro Posted 11 May 2012 Posted 11 May 2012 I really like that Liverpool kit, but it's got me wondering, what makes it so much better than that new Charlton kit? Don't get me wrong, it is, but both of those kits are very plain - very basic in their design, but one is really nice, and the other not so much. Why is this? Good point! The Liverpool kit looks like better material. And it's a nicer red. Also, it looks like a football kit. Charlton's actually looked like a bog standard t-shirt with a badge stuck on.

I think that's it - Liverpool's looks like a football kit, while Charlton's does look like a bog-standard red polo shirt with a badge stuck on it. Liverpool's also looks like it's better quality. Thanks, it was bothering me.
AdamN Posted 11 May 2012 Posted 11 May 2012 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18033752 Absolute dickheads, they really are. How can anyone possibly complain about the 96 on the kit when it's clearly there as a tribute to the lost lives. It's not as if there's a slogan written "Shit on the 96" is there? I hate how insensitive it sounds but my sympathy for the families of those lost seems to be continually eroded year after year, helped in no small part by them having attitudes like this. Perhaps you could forgive them if Liverpool fans hadn't already got enough to complain about recently.
Narborough_fox Posted 11 May 2012 Posted 11 May 2012 What's the Liverpool Kit designer? Warrior Sports... Big in Lacrosse and Ice Hockey over in the US and is currently earning Liverpool more in kit sponsorship than NIKE and Manchester United.

Perhaps you could forgive them if Liverpool fans hadn't already got enough to complain about recently. I think they need to realise that it is not the clubs responsibility to grieve for them. The people of Liverpool can claim the disaster affected everyone (and to some extent it did as we now aren't allowed to stand at matches) but in truth only the people who knew the victims actually grieve. I don't see how having a number on a shirt really makes them feel better about it. Liverpool is a football club not a church.

I know it's a sensitive topic and I do support the cause but they need to have a ****ing word with themselves. Again and again they get up in arms about nothing every time. It's a complete non-issue just like the other 95% of the time there is nothing to cause a fuss about. It beggars belief. I know there's been certain injustices and it is a complicated case but what exactly do they think Liverpool FC owe them?
HEGGSY Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 It's official...I don't like it, but it doesn't look that bad, although it does resemble a tea towel.
Finnegan Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 lol lmao. Really the best thing I've seen in ages. It's so horrendous.
MC Prussian Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Reference to the clothing and knitting industry in Manchester. The pattern is rather famous in the fashion world. On a sidenote, it doesn't look THAT bad. In fact, I quite like it.

ScouseFox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 hahahah that is one of the shittest kits i've seen for years
MC Prussian Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 hahahah that is one of the shittest kits i've seen for years And that's coming from someone in Liverpool. Honestly, both Liverpool's and Manchester United's new kits are nice, Liverpool's is just a tad more... classy.
kingfox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Nice to see Ji Sung Park in the Man Utd picture, he is my football idol.
Soar Fox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Off topic of new kits, but in JJB they currently have the England 1990 world cup shirt with 19 on the back. Also they've got the red 1966 shirt there as well with 6 on the back.

Jaspa Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 25% of all proceeds go to the "keep Gazza drinking fund" He still thinks 'Moatey' will go fishing with him Long gone that one
lcfcadam Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 I very rarely hold strong opinions on football kits and often find comments in here quite ridiculous. But my goodness, that United kit was really never a good idea and shouldn't have left the drawing room...
