Ian W LCFC Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Keep the same team for the next game Marshall sounded good in the first half
clare Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 David Nugent will be shouting for joy when he stops for a piss in Mcdonalds on the way home tonight then .
Jackirius Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 So fvcking buzzing. Amazing way to cap off a shit week! :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
NorthernFox Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Excellent team performance, so proud, wish we could win like that every week.
The People's Hero Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Just a bit of karma at work. Classless small time club refuses LCFC the correct allocation. Net result = players and fans fired up and more NCFC fans get to witness their team fail.
Kitchandro Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 It will take a while for me to come down from this one. WE'RE THE FAMOUS LEICESTER CITY AND WE'RE GOIN TO WEMBERLEY. WEMBERLEY! WEMBERLEY!
Grewks Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Why, oh why, oh http://services.pinkun.com/forums/pinkun/cs/forums/2682936/ShowPost.aspx
Happy Fox Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 We will beat the sheepshaggers Dierby C**ty no doubt about that they are a piss poor team, and Cov the following Saturday, I reckon we can get our first back to back league wins it is certainly not impossible. As for the FA cup I reckon we can go all the way
Thracian Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Was that the team whose players are so crap according to some fans that half of them should be ditched? Norwich are a respectable Premiership team and our crap players have followed up on a double over Southampton and recent win over Cardiff with a deserved away win at another venue where we so often struggle. Yes, our inconsistency has been frustrating and, just as bad, so has the individual inconsistency. But I'm getting sick of agreeing with Babylon in thinking we don't need another major close-season overhaul but need to build on much of what we already have. I've mentioned us needing 85 goals a season. Well we're scoring two regularly now which suggests that with our strike pairing of Beckford and Nugent - both well capable of scoring 15-20 goals each - we have the basis. Perhaps today also emphasised the need to be constructive from the back with SSL seemingly showing himself more capable of using the ball constructively than Mills whose raking long passes might have the potential for creating something for fast-breaking attackers but they never will if they're continually gobled up by waiting defenders which has been the case whenever I've watched. We showed yet again today that we can create and take chances against quality opposition and this has been one of the few consistent improvements we've shown under Pearson. Even somewhat decimated our midfield showed balance and the big improvement today compared with Watford was to keep what would otherwise have been a clean sheet but for a penalty and that against a team who score fairly freely. It may be that we'll need defensive options against teams with big, physical attackers but this represents tweaking the team and improving specifically rather than having another mass upheaval. I remain encouraged. Some people might think this Cup run is a poor alternative to a genuine promotion push but it's not impossible for us to go all the way and the confidence of having this run might at last give us the belief to mount a proper promotion challenge next season. As mentioned by one or two others, we are probably only around three or four players away from having a proper team now. What we particularly need to learn from the Cup though is to have a positive attitude towards winning. I'm just not convinced that's always the case in the League where we instinctively seem to defend a lead and attack a deficit rather than attacking the game throughout. Anyway, super result today and well merited. Our fans sounded magnificent.

As for the FA cup I reckon we can go all the way We should beat 'em both, but we should have beaten Watford, so don't get too excited just yet, but yeah 2 winnable games coming up, confidence high, fvck the playoffs, we need back to back wins, that will make my season, oh and a trip to Wembley.
Ian W LCFC Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 I think Derby will be a pretty easy win going for a 3-0 leicester
Kitchandro Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Theres only one Ian Stringer What was that all about?
Aylestone Fox Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Fantastic result,....we deserved it on the way we went forward,... But lets not get carried away,...Morgan wasnt that great imo,..Mills & SSL look more a pair,..how many times does Pelts get played in behind him is staggering,...SSL at r/b Mills & Morgan in the middle needs to be tried.. Thought Wellens had really good game today too,..as for Danns,,,.jury is still out I'm afraid..!?!?! Bring on WEMBERLEY.....
HEGGSY Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 I think Derby will be a pretty easy win going for a 3-0 leicester Its never easy with Leicester mate.
easilee Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 wonder if the armband had anything to do with his excellent display ? Just asking ! Wellens I mean.
Guest Bilo Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Potential, albeit a bloody long shot, of Wembley three times in a season. Yay bankruptcy!
Ian W LCFC Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Its never easy with Leicester mate. We beat them 4-0 last time and that was with SVEN
LCFC FOX Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 What was that all about? Stinger walked to the other side of the pitch to go to the Leicester fans because they stayed behind to sing. But when he got there about 5 stewards came and escorted him back to the tunnel/dugout side. As he was walking back the Leicester fans were singing theres only one Ian Stringer. Funny tbf

Corky Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 So proud of them. For the majority of the season they haven't done it but today they did, everyone of them. We were the better side and we deserved to win it. Not sure about their penalty and we might have had a "goal" but we didn't let the annoyance take over and kept going. Nugent showed so much composure (really impressed with him). St Ledger was superb, Kennedy slotted in nicely while Wellens and Danns played well. And Wes Morgan is a beast, so strong and in control. Thrilled to get through and hopefully we can follow it up at NoPride Park on Thursday. Buzzing
NeilyBoy Posted 18 February 2012 Posted 18 February 2012 Just sent this text to my Arsenal supporting mate: "Are you Norwich, are you Norwich, are you Norwich in disguise?" Making the most of a good thing before our utterly predictable draw at Derby next time out
