Jimmy Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 just heard on 5Live that Darren Bent left on crutches and is out of the England friendly, not sure how bad it is but if its more then just a couple of weeks then surely they'd want Fonz back straight away
Jace Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Hasn't featured here much anyway. I think Nigel will be feeling more comfortable with Beckford now than before though but you are quite right could well affect Villas decision
Out Foxed Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 he doesn't seem like the player i watched a few years ago for England. I realise he hasn't had much game time but i'm struggling to be upset about this.
Bert Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Crutches always a precaution. Not point speculating until we know the full extent. Club are keen for him to stay.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Isn't Schlupp back soon? Maybe another month loan, can see Delfouneso getting frustrated coming here on loan and always on the bench
AKCJ Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Yeah Drinkwater was on crutches then less than a week later he was playing for us. I'd like to keep Fonz though, he's looked good off the bench.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 I'd like us to extend it, hes a great option to have coming on off the bench, either as a winger or a striker.
Happy Fox Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 I would be very disappointed if we didn't extend his loan, or for that matter failed to bring in another striker on loan, because we are limited in that department, and tbh Howard coming off the bench is not a great proposition to behold.
speedwayson Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 maybee if the goes machini might let tevis to come to get some game time being a ex leics player just jump of the optermisic bus for a pint
paddy Agyemang Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Blistering pace, keep him for the rest of the season
Number 6 Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Would like to keep him for while but not at the expense of Schlupp in a striker role. Think the only way he'd get in our side right now is RM or in a 4-3-3. If you've got Dyer, Beckford and Fonz in your side then there's pace in abundance.
Jobyfox Posted 25 February 2012 Posted 25 February 2012 Haven't we got people like Schlupp, Vassell and Waghorn working their way back to fitness? Does anyone know how far they are away from a return?
Guest Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Our loanee was nothing special anyway. When is schlupp back?
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 Hasn't featured here much anyway. It could well be that increased competition for Beckford has resulted in him 'trying harder' for the past month or two. I don't think Beckford is stupid.. Despite his horrendous league goals tally he too will know he has to play for his place just like everyone else in the squad. Competition for places is always a good thing IMO. And on the subject of strikers, where's Waggy? Back in training yet?

accessory Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Premier League clubs can't use the loan window.
Jimmy Posted 27 February 2012 Author Posted 27 February 2012 Premier League clubs can't use the loan window. they can but ONLY for Goalkeepers, like Man City did the year Hart was on loan at Birmingham
Bert Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 they can but ONLY for Goalkeepers, like Man City did the year Hart was on loan at Birmingham Is Beckford a goalkeeper then? And wasn't Hart on a season long loan
Jimmy Posted 27 February 2012 Author Posted 27 February 2012 Is Beckford a goalkeeper then? And wasn't Hart on a season long loan what are you on about with Beckford? Yes Hart was a season long loan, but if you remember back, they wanted to recall him but both the prem and Birmingham said no so the ended up loaning Marton Fulop
tomrowell8 Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 R Keane played his last game for them on Sat as well so surely they will need to keep Delfouneso
Big Dave Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 Craig Shakespeare has said in the Merc that Hopper has been training lots with the first team squad, and has been settling in very well. I personally feel that he should be given some bench time now.

Yes Hart was a season long loan, but if you remember back, they wanted to recall him but both the prem and Birmingham said no so the ended up loaning Marton Fulop Well you said you were worried/relieved about them coming in for Becks on a loan bid and then to say that it only applies to goalkeepers. Hence why I asked if he's a keeper now?
