NeilyBoy Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 omg there are some abslout moron`s on here! This post is the textbook definition of having the qualities of an iron. Edit: I realise that'll probably go over your head, so I'll be nice and include an explanation. Irony. I'm talking about how ironic it is that you have no grasp of spelling or what an apostrophe is, but feel entitled to label others as "moron's".
Dan Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 I don't know, maybe I'm overtly optimistic here but before joining us, Mills had a reputation of being a dead set Premiership defender. The fact that it is due to a personality clash that he hasn't featured this year should work in our favour - if we do decide to offload him. Clubs will still see him as a very good player (rightly or wrongly). Sure, we won't get our £3.5m back (or whatever it was) but I don't think we'll lose out that much. Why he was excellent for Reading and shite for us I don't know. Got bigheaded? Thought he had made it? That's what I've heard, and I mean to a stupidly high extent too.
seenitall Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 Why do we have to offload players. It is quite feasible to have more than 11 good players at a club you know. Dropping and recalling players used to be a big part of the skill of managing a team. Now if someone gets dropped their career is over apparently

Bugg Posted 26 March 2012 Posted 26 March 2012 Training on his ones in the gym in Leicester today What kind of weirdo goes to the gym in a big group though?
LcFcDEC Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 I meant it was strange him being at that particular gym

Now if someone gets dropped their career is over apparently Maybe because we're spending pretty much all of our turnover on wages and getting little, or even a negative effect (Mills) in return? We've got to sell before we buy, simple as that. We'll sell a lot but I think we'll still have good funds to buy.
Southern Fox Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Im meeting Matt Mills at the KP tonight I will ask him what the situation is but cant guarantee he will tell me anything Oddly I thought he was playing pretty well up until he was dropped
lovefootball Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 He was probably watching oadby aand training at "the gym" because that's where jon stevenson works and he plays for oadby town and they seem to be quite big mates! They were all out in birmingham on saturday night
Leicester_Loyal Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Hes always at The Gym in town, my mates regularly see him in there.
Soar Fox Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 You'd think all the money he's on he'd join David Llyod or Next generation.
Guest Col city fan Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 You'd think all the money he's on he'd join David Llyod or Next generation. Nah... Enderby Leisure Centre? Has a great gym actually..
Out Foxed Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 You'd think all the money he's on he'd join David Llyod or Next generation. they're the same nowadays. next gen = david lloyd
Soar Fox Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 they're the same nowadays. next gen = david lloyd Same thing. But the Narbrough one is a lot more dearer than the one at meridian.

However having 4 first team CBs and paying 4 1st team wages on the scale we're paying them is business suicide although there's nothing we can do about that until the summer short of gifting a rival a quality individual (if a poor team player) for the run-in
StanSP Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Playing vs Kettering tomorrow, according to the boss.
Bert Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Don't know why people are getting so chuffed over what Pearson has said. All he did was answer a question honestly.
StanSP Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Don't know why people are getting so chuffed over what Pearson has said. All he did was answer a question honestly. More the way he said it, as opposed to what he said .
Petchy Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Seems like Mills is in a big mess, both professionally and personally if certain tweets are anything to go by. The tweets obviously outline the rift with Pearson, but apparently he's back with that 'oaks bird too seeing as he was 'in the gym with her' and Matt's daughter has said things like 'If you go for a dickhead, they'll treat you like a dickhead and you'll end up looking like a dickhead.' on her twitter. The guy just doesn't know when to stop does he...
speedwayson Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 when stringer ask him about mills was not selected but hes playing at kettering tomorrow and leaving in the summer good bye millsy good bye
RonnieTodger Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 I'm quite pissed off to be honest. If he's being as egotistical as everyone says and acting like a dickhead to Pearson, then fair enough. It's a huge waste of someone that can be a great centre-back. It's his price-tag that has weighed him down immensely and I really hope he finds his way back into the side.
Karljohn Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 when stringer ask him about mills was not selected but hes playing at kettering tomorrow and leaving in the summer good bye millsy good bye There is absolutely no chance that Mills will be in an LCFC shirt next season, Moore, Kennedy on the bench tonight. Turn off the light on your way out Matt.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Don't we have to give Reading an extra £1m or something like that if he plays 2 more league games to make it go to £5.5m we then have spent on him? So Stringer said the other week Personally if he wanted to play for the club then he would of tried to make it up to Pearson but you can tell that he doesn't, I want players who want to play for the club, not here for the money so get rid.
