StanSP Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 I don't think £75m is that unacceptable. Higuain is obviously proven in that league and Juve have just seriously weakened a huge rival whilst strengthening themselves. Much better competition/partner for Dybala. Those 2 will smash it next season. On the other hand, £100m for Pogba is vastly unacceptable but paying that much means Pogba is definitely on his way.
Dan Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 Serie A pretty much a foregone conclusion already, even more so than it was.
iamafox Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 In the next 10 years we'll be seeing world record transfers in the region of £500m.

Juventus, Bayern Munich, PSG, RB Salzburg, FC Basel and NK Maribor ought to create a first Central Europe League, where they can compete against one another, allowing their domestic league competitions to be decided and won by another team, any other team once more. Throw in FC Vaduz just for fun, too. Because frankly, it's getting a bit tedious with the same club winning it all the time.
Dan Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 Crap isn't it. Worst of all Juventus have now taken the Bayern approach of weakening their rivals while they strengthen with the signings of Pjanic and Higuain. They're well within their rights to but it does no favours for the league. I think it's the biggest plus England and to a degree Spain has over those - the fact you can't really call who'll win the league. I'm half tempted to put £100 on Juventus at 1/2. It's an easy £50.

I guess they'll be saying the same thing about Leicester when we win it again next season..

MC Prussian Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 (edited) Bayern Munich continuing where they left off back in May: Hammering their opponents left and right. Werder Bremen the sore victim on the opening night of the new season. 6-0 to the Bavarians in an utterly one-sided affair. Lewandowski hat-trick, even Xabi Alonso scored! Werder Bremen have been in turmoil for a while now - will Skripnik be the first to get the sack? The pre-season injury to Max Kruse proves costly and Moisander looks like an accident waiting to happen. Edited 26 August 2016 by MC Prussian
