I don't think £75m is that unacceptable.

Higuain is obviously proven in that league and Juve have just seriously weakened a huge rival whilst strengthening themselves. Much better competition/partner for Dybala. Those 2 will smash it next season.

On the other hand, £100m for Pogba is vastly unacceptable but paying that much means Pogba is definitely on his way.

Serie A pretty much a foregone conclusion already, even more so than it was.

Juventus, Bayern Munich, PSG, RB Salzburg, FC Basel and NK Maribor ought to create a first Central Europe League, where they can compete against one another, allowing their domestic league competitions to be decided and won by another team, any other team once more.

Throw in FC Vaduz just for fun, too.

Because frankly, it's getting a bit tedious with the same club winning it all the time.

Crap isn't it. Worst of all Juventus have now taken the Bayern approach of weakening their rivals while they strengthen with the signings of Pjanic and Higuain. They're well within their rights to but it does no favours for the league. I think it's the biggest plus England and to a degree Spain has over those - the fact you can't really call who'll win the league. I'm half tempted to put £100 on Juventus at 1/2. It's an easy £50.

I guess they'll be saying the same thing about Leicester when we win it again next season..

Bayern would just walk that every year instead.

Barcelona's Adriano goes Besiktas for what seems a laughably low amount of 600'000 Euro

I wonder how much the price would've been if an English club came in for him?  Double that at least.

Good opening day win for Bochum. Bodes well.

To be fair, Union Berlin should've won this tonight. But they managed to miss two sitters, so...

Bayern Munich continuing where they left off back in May: Hammering their opponents left and right. Werder Bremen the sore victim on the opening night of the new season.

6-0 to the Bavarians in an utterly one-sided affair. Lewandowski hat-trick, even Xabi Alonso scored! lol

Werder Bremen have been in turmoil for a while now - will Skripnik be the first to get the sack? The pre-season injury to Max Kruse proves costly and Moisander looks like an accident waiting to happen.

Watching Sporting-Porto on BT3 now. Porto don't look anything frightening to be honest.

Still Cagliari-Roma and Villarreal-Sevilla to come tonight. Got to love European football Sundays.
