I take it he was willing the Derby fans on to sing about Nigel Doughty because that was just "banter"... Didn't think so. Hiillsborough is still a very touch subject for many Forest, Liverpool and football fans so wishing another version of that is just sick. Weather it was meant to be banter it's still a sick thing to post. Exactly. It's not even meant to be banter, it's done purely to rile and anger people.

I kinda agree and disagree, the whole trolling thing is getting out of hand, there have been a number of high profile cases recently with Liam Stacey tweeting about Muamba, and the guy who got arrested for trolling memorial pages to people who had died. Of course the best way to stop a troll is to ignore it, but then they just push the boundaries further and further until they cross the line like he did with that post. I guess there are 2 ways to look at it: 1. He actually honestly believes what he is saying, and honestly hopes for the deaths of thousands of people purely because they support a team (one he doesn't even care about), and would enjoy it, in which case he probably needs some sort of psychological help, and by reporting him, he may actually get it. 2. He is just trying to get a reaction, in which case is it wrong? He hasn't broken any laws in that what he has said has been untrue or libellous, but should people be allowed to deliberately stir up feelings of anger and hate just because they are bored? If someone from the BNP says something racist because they believe it in my eyes should not be censored. If someone says something racist just to get a reaction, just to spread hate and anger and misery I think that those that provide him with the medium to do so are within their rights to take it away, but they are not actually breaking any laws (I think). I am pretty sure there are terms and conditions to using twitter, as there are for using this site, and if you break them, as I am pretty sure he did, then you deserve to have your tweet deleted and, if serious enough, to be banned from using twitter. I am still unsure about people being prosecuted for trolling, at what point does that infringe on civil liberties and freedom of speech, but I fully agree with the right of twitter to refuse the use of their services for content they deem inappropriate and cause offense, and to ban people that can't stick within their guidelines, that is completely their perogative, as it is here on FT, and is for the good of the users and 'community' not to mention their image as a responsible service provider and not about censorship.
