Stringer and Young are a good broadcasting team, as said before if we were top 6, we wouldn't be seeing this thread, get a grip.

The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Tonights phone was a total waste of time, its a case of vindicating one player and Alan Young carving his haggis knife to subsiquently assisinate one person. The team played badly at the weekend, we can go through the whole playing squad and pick fault, as the caller said had it been a boxing match the game would have been over. Tuesday against Forest we couldnt break through them, Peterborough we couldnt break through them. I agree the cross that came in Beckford should have through himself at the ball when the cross came in. We gave away a goal if we now want to be critical Marshall turned his back on the ball, Drinkwater didnt run around like Danns. We dont critiise. Yakubu played last season scored goals was Lazy the same Scottish pundit ripped in to him for being lazy. Young has his favourites, like Gallagher you wont see him tear arsing around however Young doesnt slate him. The radio programme should have been about the team, but Young and Stringer decide to play their peace of commentary to subject Beckford to a call in of hate, which has been incited by Alan Young and Ian Stringer. We lost the game as a team 1 individual didnt cost us the game, Beckford did work back and track back, for what ever reason he didnt go forward for the free kick only Jermaine and Nigel Pearson know why!!! I find Alan Young extremely bitter nasty person I for one be extremely pleased in the cull next season of players and staff on the playing side be happy to see Radio Leicester heave Youngs arse out the door too!! I dont entirely blame Stringer he will always agree with Alan Young its his hero and plays and agrees on his every word! You know what to do today then of you feel that strongly... 'i just can't seem to get enough of d d d d d d d ....

With Beckford, there's been plenty of times Alan Young has praised him, publically, on air. This time he wanted to make a point. I commend him for not hiding behind the mic Get over it...

Until now he has lead a charmed life as he is "family", but after hearing his and Stringers commentary of the Beckford incident at the Peterborough game when we got back to the car it really sounded that they were only interested in making a point the Beckford doesn't play like Alan Young aledgedly did. (I have no idea how Alan Young played as I never saw him) People may turn against him if he carries this on and then where will he be ?
KidKunny Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 He is annoying IMO, well at times. However I think he does pick on Beckford a little too much (not always necessarily a bad thing), which is why some people, like myself get annoyed with him.

Much of how Young played would not be allowed now, 100% commited elbows up (as standard then) he was basically a mobile and more talanted Howard (check Youtube) Actually think he does a great job, he'll never be to everyones tastes, with such a diverse abd cross section on here and following football, opinions are bound to differ. The Beckford bit on the radio did sound as if he'd killed Pearson, set fire to his house and held his kids hostage, transpires that it was all fairly innocent
