Haydos Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 http://www.owlstalk....t-ben-marshall/ Most of them are about as miserable as most of the posters on here. Great poem!
Adster Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/168720-can-we-get-promoted-without-ben-marshall/ Yeah Antonio is much better, that's why he's in League One.
Captain... Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 http://www.owlstalk....t-ben-marshall/ That is brilliant.
Gold Coast Fox Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 If it wasn't for the on and off beard, I'd me madly in love with him! Not a bad footballer either
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Is there any highlights of all or some of his goals this year, only seen the one against Chelski
Out Foxed Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 http://www.owlstalk....t-ben-marshall/ surprised burnley sent treacy out on loan
Brad_SWFC Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Evening Ladies & Gents... Not posted on here for quite a long time, but thought I would show my face after seeing Ben Marshall is finally starting to show his talents for you guys. I was gutted we couldn't complete a permanent deal for this lad. He has so much ability and I'm convinced (was the first time I saw him) that he would play Premier League football one day. He's got a bit of everything you need for a modern day wide player. He's very good with the ball, both in terms of touch and close control and also his use of it. He was very consistent for us with his final ball, either passing, crossing or shooting. He also has a trick or two in him and can beat players, without possessing blistering pace (although he's quite nippy). I hope he manages to fulfill the bags of potential and talent he has, be it with you guys or elsewhere. Like i say he was terrific for us and was a great lad too. Glad he's starting to show your fans what he's all about. Good luck for the rest of the season, hopefully you can scrape a play off place and good luck for the future. Hopefully Big Nige (Legend) can do the business again for you guys. Brad
Captain... Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Is there any highlights of all or some of his goals this year, only seen the one against Chelski A mini Mashall Montage, Chelsea Goal, Blackpool assist and Hull Goal, I had a much bigger one with his assist at Norwich and his shot sagainst Forest and Peterborough, but this is pretty big for a gif, would probably be better as a video, but I don't have any video editing software yet. If people like this then I will try and make a better one with the Donny goal when I can get it, maybe tidy it up a bit, at the moment I am just playing in GIMP* see what I can do. *a freeware version of photoshop not a bondage sex slave I made a mini montage but it doesn't have his Donny and ipswich goals on there, yet, DavieG still has his gallery: http://www.davieg-ga...2-goalsxxxx.htm Has all the highlights from this year on there up to Peterbrough.

Finnegan Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Funny as fvck fantastic find. I loved the mixed responses.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Has anyone noticed forests upturn in form since we signed Morgan. Have you not noticed our recent upturn in form since Wes Morgan is settling in?
kyle09uk Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Can anyone tell me what type of player Marshall is? Haven't been able to get to many games at all this year due to playing football myself on Saturdays and funds. Got it in my head he's a bit like Gradel/gallagher with his silkys skills and wonder goals.

Got it in my head he's a bit like Gradel/gallagher with his silkys skills and wonder goals. Personally I'd say he is very much a Gallagher type player but with better close control, a bit nippier and so far much more consistent set piece delivery and crosses.
JonnyBoy Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 his delivery is special, an asset that we have massively been lacking with Dyer and Gallagher

Better at heading. Better at tackling. Better at corners. Faster. Stronger... He's just ****ing awesome

Brad Cheers mate I have a few Wednesday mates and I came up around Christmas time when city weren't in action and was very impressed with Ben Marhshall during your game think he set up goal for Reda Johnson that day, two great feet and my owl mate said this lad will play at top one day and I joked 'yh with us at Leicester I'm telling Nigel to bag him;)' month or so later he's wearing the blue of Leicester , sorry mate(y) he's a top young talent, a typical Pearson signing :lcfc:

Gallagher created more goalscoring chances in the first 15 minutes after HT yesterday than Marshall did in the whole match. But I do agree, he has a lot of talent and is certainly an all round better player than Gallagher.
