Raw Dykes Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 If Marshall carries on playing like this, then I think we'll find it very difficult to hang on to him. However, his contract doesn't run out til 2015, so he should fetch a huge fee. So whether he stays, or has to be sold on, at least we know NP and his staff have the ability to find and bring in players like him. He could be Pearson's best signing so far. He, and to a slightly lesser extent, Drinkwater are exactly the sort of signing we need more of. Young players with bags of potential. If they stay, they could be part of the team for a long time, and their value is likely to be rising, so if they have to be sold, they fetch a profit that can be put back into new additions to the squad. They are a good indication of the sort of player we can expect to see more of as long as Pearson stays. Sven tried spending a fortune on big names, but none of them were as exciting as this player. I'm looking forward to seeing who else joins us in the summer. Ideally, Marshall will be our player for a long time to come, and with a few more new players of his quality, we should be in the top division before long. Morgan and Marshall are lower league players, no promotion when we're buying shite like that.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 The technique he used when he hit the crossbar was UNBELIVEABLE JEFF!
Larry_LCFC Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 I love him but I can just imagine if he has a couple of bad games what the reaction will be -"Oh hes useless, drop him", "OMG its all his fault hes shit!". Thats Leicester fans for you im afraid.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 ^^ I disagree I think Leicester fans have warmed to him and now know what he has to offer therefore will stick by him!!
Leicester_Loyal Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Hes been class these past few games. I really think he'll come of age next season.
Number 6 Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 In Marshall, Danns and Drinkwater I think we're 75% of the way to a great midfield.
Dan Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 ^^ I disagree I think Leicester fans have warmed to him and now know what he has to offer therefore will stick by him!! Just like they did Wellens and Gallagher.
Guest Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 In Marshall, Danns and Drinkwater I think we're 75% of the way to a great midfield. I seem to remember Danns getting hammered by fans on here not so long ago. I felt a pariah talking about his closing down making up for the odd poor pass.
Captain... Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 MAKE A MONTAGE! A mini Mashall Montage, Chelsea Goal, Blackpool assist and Hull Goal, I had a much bigger one with his assist at Norwich and his shot sagainst Forest and Peterborough, but this is pretty big for a gif, would probably be better as a video, but I don't have any video editing software yet. If people like this then I will try and make a better one with the Donny goal when I can get it, maybe tidy it up a bit, at the moment I am just playing in GIMP* see what I can do. *a freeware version of photoshop not a bondage sex slave
Captain... Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Another Marshall gif, I think I have seen that goal 1000 times now, still not bored of it.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Splash the cash on Snodgrass imagine this midfield!! Marshall----Danns/DD/Wellens/King----Snodgrass ^ 2 of the above!
Viral Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 If he doesn't get the distance shooter attribute on fifa next season, I'm going to ring up and complain. I'm with you there, he deserves it.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 I respect Pearson and Walsh for this signing. Marshall and Drinkwater are exactly the sort of players Sven should have gone for. Ones for the future without a doubt and I think they are both good stuff. Has anyone else noticed Barnsleys decline since we've signed Drinky. Might be coincidence but they have dropped right off.

Grewks Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 You must remember that barnsley lost their leading scorer Vaz Te, and their leading midfielders....drinkwater, butterfield (injury) and perkins (injury). Whilst forest have improved their squad with some good loan signings- Guediora (?) looks a good signing for them and reports from the forest fans suggest he has been their best player - and is one reason why Mccleary has scored so many. would be worth looking at him for next season - IMO we dont have a central midfielder who has a natural ability to run at a defence, we know than drinky, dannzy and to a lesser extent ritchie can do this, but it is not their natural game.
davelcfc100 Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 This boy's a bit special. This boy is more than "a bit" special
