Anyway, does anyone with inside knowledge know if he is even at the club? I would have thought Pelts would be second choice to be honest, that's no disrespect to pelts because I think he's been solid, it's just that you'd have thought someone with Pantsil's vast experience and quality would have his name firmly on any team sheet in our league....any ideas what's going on?

Declared himself unfit to play, but still takes 30k a week, goes to play for his country, and then comes back and "oh, i'm unfit". Greedy so and so who should be released IMMEDIATELY

How do you know he declared himself unfit to play? Once again a lot of rumours without any facts. Theres not a lot you can do when the manager hasn't even gave you a chance.

acooling08 Posted 11 April 2012 Posted 11 April 2012 I missed the game that Pantsil played that apparently got fans loving him. I saw him in subsequent games and he was iffy at best, definitely not good enough to replace Peltier.

It's alright people saying 'oh he played well in the African Cup Of Nations', but the bottom line is when he played for us, he didnt offer anything better than what Peltier does.

Guy Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Having not been able to make it up to the first few home game this season myself (not until that shocking defeat to Leeds in November during our brief managerless spell), then I cannot comment on the boy Pantsil - having never seen him play "live" but it seems strange that he was one of those summer signings who is on £25-£30k a week, played regularly in a handful of games early doors - and yet has been cast adrift ever since Sven parted company with us in October, never to be seen in a city shirt again since. Very mysterious! Maybe Pearson doesn't rate him while towards the end of Sven's tenure it seems like he was perhaps resting him on the bench due to Peltier getting the nod more and being the better player at right back. I would be very surprised if he was still here next season, although stranger things have happened I suppose - this season for a start off!
