After watching the game between Southampton and Reading last night we clearly have a long way to go if we want to reach those heights. To begin with, a mobile target man (one has scored against us again today - harry kane), a poacher (the amount of times the ball has flashed across the box this season without beckford being close to the ball is a joke), and some pace out wide. Then we can begin to work on advanced options, such as different formations, when was the last time a team was promoted from this league playing a traditional 4-4-2? Norwich didnt, qpr didnt, neither did swansea, before them blackpool, newcastle, west brom etc. It doesnt work and is too predictable, especially with the lack or real quality we have.
