artursteppe Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 Pearson, Wellens, King, Gallagher, Dyer, Howard must all be moved on now. I do not want to see any of them next season. They have had their chances and it is time for everyone to face the fact that we have no chance of ever achieving promotion whilst any of them have any influence at the club!

Well the players are all on long expensive contracts due to Sousa and Sven, who also played them despite spending big on replacements.

STOP MAKING THREADS ABOUT THE SAME THINGS WITH DIFFERENT TITLES. What a waste of time this place really is becoming.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 Why don't people like Dyer? If he played for anyone else in the league half of you would be saying sign him up.

Yeah I agree, but hard not to with the elephant in the room of under achievement.... Great post by Davie G though - very useful knowledge!!! It makes the disappearance of Pantsil even more curious given the length of his contract.

I don't mind him, if he's not on form going forward he will always put in a shift. That's what I find frustrating with players like Gally and Beckford, if they aren't on top of their game the work rate isn't there half the time to make up for it.
Happy Fox Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 Why don't people like Dyer? If he played for anyone else in the league half of you would be saying sign him up. He has his limitations like a lot of other wingers in this division, if we can sign someone better than replace him if not we will keep him.

As far as I can see the guy always gives it everything he's got and every now and then he has a game where he looks almost unplayable. More often than not he tries to be positive and makes things happen when on the ball and that's more than can be said for a lot of our side. Alright he's not CR7 but if it's the same people slating him all the time as constantly banging on about Jimmy Kebe I think they should have a rethink.

It's what west brom fans said about him from the start!!
hackneyfox Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 Dyer made give his all, but he's bloody useless. No disagreement from me about the OP list.

Freeman's Wharfer Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 I have a feeling (and I hope) that a lot of you writing King off will be eating your words next season. Anyone with any sense can see his quality from what he's done for us over the years and to write him off after one poorish season (one that he was injured for a large part of) is foolish. The guy's still young, form is temporary class is permanent. So stop getting on his back.

They have had their chances and it is time for everyone to face the fact that we have no chance of ever achieving promotion whilst any of them have any influence at the club! Pearson needs a summer to build his own squad. He deserves that after all he's done for us. I agree with Wellens, and Howard. Good servants to the club but probably time to move them on. King has proven good in the past and one bad season plagued by injury shouldn't come into it. Give him till xmas I think then decide. Dyer should be kept, but maybe only as an impact sub. Don't think he's good enough to be a starter for us long term, but he's the kind of player to bring on late on in the game against a tired defense. Gallagher i'm mixed about. I think he's good enough sometimes, but others he's just awful. Good squad player as he can do a job every now and again, but probably not a starter if we want to go up and stay up next season.
mbmb10 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 That's it! Great idea get rid of Pearson whilst he's only had half a season...knee jerk reaction. Dyer can produce quality and is positive when running with the ball and can create chances! Wellens got better towards the end of the season still can break up play. Gallagher should be a bench player since he is a match winner, he's got one of the best shots in the league. Felt like defending these players who are constantly abused on this forum and used as scapegoats more often than not.
ozleicester Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 The "move on" concept is all well and good AS LONG AS THE REPLACEMENTS ARE BETTER than those moving on!. This applies from the manager down. Would you keep Schmeical, if Joe Hart wants to come here? Would you keep Nigel...if The special one, realised that LCFC was, the special club? Would you keep Danns.... if Bale suddenly saw the light and became a citeh player? would you keep Nugent... if Rooney brought his smiling hair filled head to the KP? If there is a better option take it, but dumping for the sake of it is pointless.

The guy's still young, form is temporary class is permanent. So stop getting on his back. Kingy should probably leave for his own good. In a properly balanced passing team King could be an excellent cog but our team is so disjointed, inconsistent and out of tune as a unit. He needs to regain his fitness, his enthusiasm and his self-belief and he won't do that here where so many of the fans don't actually like the guy even when he's playing because he doesn't kick people and race around like a demented March hare.

accessory Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Is King reliable enough to build the side around? He may have been two years ago, but he certainly isn't now. Keeping him means playing 4-3-3, because he isn't strong or disciplined enough to play in a 4-4-2.
flowwolf Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 He has his limitations like a lot of other wingers in this division, if we can sign someone better than replace him if not we will keep him. Logic dictates that all the players for us have limitations or they would not be playing is this league. If they had prem quality or potential how long do you think they would be here?
seenitall Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 STOP MAKING THREADS ABOUT THE SAME THINGS WITH DIFFERENT TITLES. What a waste of time this place really is becoming. Bye then - what else is there to talk about on here than Leicester City - or is this a board for delusional middle aged men to talk about anything they like, in which case I am very unhappy about this Norwegian fella and Abu whatsisface and reckon they should fight it out between them. On the other hand, moaning about LCFC is way more fun and this is the place for it so GO AWAY if you don't like it
