Happy Fox Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 I agree with Wellens but Dyer has proved multiple times this season that he is still an asset Possibly but If I am being honest he doesn't cut the mustard Vassell for me is much better. Ideally we will a top class LW come the summer.
smudgerfox Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Possibly but If I am being honest he doesn't cut the mustard Vassell for me is much better. Have you seen DV's scoring/assist record while a Leicester player? Completely over-rated..
Happy Fox Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Have you seen DV's scoring/assist record while a Leicester player? Completely over-rated.. Dyer 70 appearances in the championship 6 goals. Vassell 43 appearances in the championship 6 goals. This season stats and goals in the league Vassell 12 appearances 2 goals 1 assist Dyer 33 appearances 4 goals 3 assists So using this conclusive evidence Vassell is much better than Dyer.
cosmos Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Wellens and gally really are that bad the only possible way they can get in our team is because they are pearsons favourites and if pearson really thinks they are good players it shows his own shortcomings. I went to millwall, binned off a day and was rewarded by the same old shit-i won't spend another penny now until pearson is gone and i guarantee it will be before the new season. In fact it will be sooner than you all think, the new man will then systematically cut the cancer from our squad!

So Sousa and Sven also got it wrong then? The fact they tried to replace them and still ended up playing them? And they made an even bigger mistake in handing them new contracts?

Corky Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 So Sousa and Sven also got it wrong then? The fact they tried to replace them and still ended up playing them? And they made an even bigger mistake in handing them new contracts? Pearson told Sousa and Sven to play them, obviously.

So by your reckoning Gallagher who you hate so much has 8 goals in 28 so is much better than both?
Babylon Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Pearson told Sousa and Sven to play them, obviously. What an absolute willy puller he is.
Happy Fox Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 So by your reckoning Gallagher who you hate so much has 8 goals in 28 so is much better than both? Where did I say I hate him? Do you have to hate a player to not rate them? He isn't a conventional winger, fair enough and if we adopt him in his actual position oh wait he hasn't got one. Their is no place for him in a 4-4-2, 4-3-3 formation.
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Even as squad players they aren't good enough their time is up at the club imo along with Howard and Gallagher. Why is there still so much abuse for Wellens? He's a quailty player and defo worth keeping as a squad player. He can pick out better passes than any of our midfield....

Who mentioned Dyer? I know Dyer is flawed. But you could hardly say an attacking player with a record of a goal every six games and minimal assists is the difference between success and failure. Try comparing Vassell's record to Marshall - a much more recent signing of NFP - it tells you all you need to know about the difference between Sven and NFP.

chris_lcfc_85 Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 yeah, i saw him picking out beckford and nugent with quality over the top balls and slide rule passes last night.... Oh sorry, didnt realise he'd turned into Iniesta! He didnt do alot wrong last night. He's slow which costs him at times but was player of the season not so long ago! How fickle can we get! I'd 100% keep him as a squad player and buy someone better to play most weeks. He'd be an excellent back up
brockmyster Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 We get the idea they aren't good enough, Sven had the chance to get rid of them last summer but didn't so we are stuck with them, and hopefully this summer NP can rectify things, personally Wellens, Gallagher, Dyer, Howard aren't good enough for team aspiring for promotion, King has the potential I rather see him in the team than Wellens. With regards to Yuki and Fernandes they wanted to leave. I dont blame Fernandes for wanting to leave, a man who went out his way to ask to play for the reserves who than scored 4 goals, and came off the bench at hull and imo give a good solid performance to than just be tossed aside for Pearsons old favourties.

You should read the whole thread before you post. You'd realise it has all the answers to your points. But to quickly sum it up, to save you the time. Fernandes asked to leave before Pearson even arrived and the only reason he asked to play in the reserve game is because Udinese's scouts were there to watch him. This has been said so many times, I'm still suprised not everyone knows about it.

Although Udinese's scouts must be a bit mental judging him on a reserve game against if i remember rightly notts county

MC Prussian Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Err, Gelson Fernandes doesn't feature for Udinese on a regular basis and god knows how Abe's doing back in Japan. Truth hurts.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Let me explain something to those naive enough to think that just because players 'choose to leave a club', does not mean they were not in fact forced out. Gelson Fernandes so obviously wanted to leave when he asked to be included in a reserve team match ( for which he was not selected ), then played and scored four goals just to prove he wanted to go. Yuki Abe, and Fernandes were not selected, sat in the stands or on the bench, watching the incompetent dross playing instead of them and probably, and quite rightly, thought Pearson was a T*t of the highest order. So we're naive and you're clueless. As many have stated Fernandes declared that he wanted to leave the club before Pearson was anywhere near appointed, but I bet you have your own conspiracy that NP had people inside already getting rid of those players. Abe was homesick and left, he had stated he was missing being away from his family a few times. Yes our midfield has been decent at best, but as far as I can see the only real dross is that of your posts.
