Leicester City, Atmosphere, the past and future

Once upon a time believe it or not Leicester City had the loudest, yes you are reading this the loudest fans in the country. Oh how times have changed.

Yes this is another Atmosphere and moving seats thread. Some posters may not like it however just hear me out.

Our last home game against West Ham, Jobber wasn't there and L/K Block failed to create any noise same goes for the rest of the ground. Jobbers drum seems to be the only thing that can inspire our fans to sing lately, says a lot really doesnt it?

Anyway to my point. Yes this was tried before but not the way I am proposing. Make the move to N Block.

Last time Jamie, Micky and a few more respected posters off this forum tired to get another singing section going. It went well for the first few games then our stewards starting throwin people out and it quickly died a death :( This time if people move over to N Block no one would have organised it so there would be no throw out. Also I think season tickets are cheaper in this area of the ground? If we could get N Block going as well as L block I believe we could bring back the good times and atmosphere to Leicester City.

I may get a hell of a lot of stick for this but oh well at least im trying here... I would like to invite the return of the Fosse Boys to introduce more European songs into the English game such as the 'we love you' and the 'Ben Marshall' song. The Fosse Boys tried to get such songs going however got laughed at by members of this forum and our support in general. I think more people would be willing to join in now they know what they tried to implement and look what the out come has been so far.

Maybe I haven't posted this in the correct manner it also might not come across very well but we need to do something and quick. Lets bring back the good times back to LCFC!

The atmosphere not being there at the West Ham game was nothing to do with Jobbers drum, half of L1 didn't turn up, we have had a shit season, there was nothing to play for and it was a night game (never any noise anyway)...

Posted

You could rebuild and move back to Filbert Street, give everyone a fecking megaphone but if they don't have much to cheer about, the atmosphere aint gonna change.

Posted

We weren't that bad! It was also a night game and a nothing match. Plus the fact half of L1 stayed at home.

The problem isn't L1. It's the rest of the bloody ground.

The family stand are getting better. The West Stand are boring prawn sandwich eaters and the Kop have a sparing few singing a completely different song to the East Stand.

Moving the drum will mean little.

You aint gunna like this, but on Monday night the West Stand was the noisiest I have heard it since Steve Agnew was sent off against Millwall right in front of them.

Think people keep ignoring this when going on about how bad the fans are. What the feck have any of us had to cheer for the past two seasons?! L, K, Family Stand, Kop, wherever the fúck you want to put everyone won't be bouncing for 90 minutes when the season is over and we're putting in shite performance number 30 on a Monday night on TV. Common sense.

Even though they had tickets?

Aren't we always being told how loyal and noisy supporters they are?

Good luck with the plan to move to N Block, though. I'm sure that nice Mr Barclay will never object..

The atmosphere is very good in the East Stand when we're on form, better than most in the league.

The problem is people's attitudes, we have so many negative fans when things aren't going well. It's understandable that we're so half-hearted at times considering the last 10 years and what we're seeing on the pitch at the moment, but that is half the problem. It's not that we don't have enough vocal fans in there.

Not that it's a bad idea to have another singing section, especially on the other side of the away fans.

I have had season ticket in N1 for the last two seasons. Mainley because its the cheapest and I take my 2 kids. One gets in for free and the other like 60pound. Also the atmosphere is actually pretty good because we are next to the away fans. Will be getting one there next season also :)

Plus my kids like waving there scares around to we love you and like to shout the other songs as well. I also try to join in as much as I can when people around me sing.

All the talk that goes about of 'move the kop' etc, then we hear it can't be done because of health and safety and all that crap! All it takes is for everyone to move to the family stand on there own accord, it's cheaper season tickets too! I for one am moving from the kop next season as its just full of people moaning constantly too! Get everyone in N block and P block and sandwich the away fans in with two standing/singing sections and hey presto we have our answer!

If everyone in the kop that wants a better atmosphere moves to the family stand N and P things will be a lot better, pretty sure of it!

That would be me then.

Can't you just all move back to the kop, so it is a kop and sounds like a kop. A lot of the larger clubs don't ever feel the need to be in the faces of away supporters.

This is what I was trying to say in my opening post you've just summed it up. Not hard is it. Come on lads. Lets get this done and get the King Power rocking next season.

I was going to move to the East Stand from the Family Stand - in two minds now, there was a few lads in P block trying to get a chant going on Monday night - I joined in but didn't get anywhere - think I'll move to N block instead and see how it goes next season.

If you do come over - standing is a problem - kids can't see over adults in front - and no swearing! lol

Doesn't need to go through the club for us to 'move' the kop! Do it ourselves and everyone just move, it's simple lol!

Guarantee if everyone moves, we will have a home atmosphere that has that stadium bouncing and away teams will not want to play there!

Fortress KP boom! Ha

Blue armyyyyyyy!!

Or like i said. Move 'to' the kop.

Why does the kop have to be next to the away fans to create an atmosphere? surely if it is going to be the same people in it then we should be able to create the same atmosphere anyway! Think of anfield there kop is superb and it is not right next to the away fans! You've also got teams like man u with the stretford end and chelsea with the shed end that create most of the noise in there stadiums.

What do you base that on?

And why would all the vocal fans move there anyway?

the atmophere aint good enough wolves went down sunday and sang there hearts out as did pompey when they were relegated . we only sing when were winning and then its not good enough even then . respect to the few that sing every week without fail you are a credit to our club . also we gota start singing when your smiling more than we do and everyone not just a few. also ile go back to what i said a few weeks ago and got slagged off by alot of people on here its the same away from home too . yes i remember the days when we was one of the loudest set of fans going and only hope we can be like this again but i cant see it with alot of the fans we have nowdays we let a goal in and we shut up . lets get it going again next season how it used to be . when your smiling the whole world smiles with you . ltid

Most of the vocal Chelsea fans go in the Matthew Harding Stand these days. They moved there once the old Shed was knocked down
