wellyfox Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 James Morrison - he'd give us something. So foxestalk are buying the guy that owns the supermarket where all our new targets go shopping befor they sign. He'll soon be the best ITK on here
MattyFromLE Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 I read somewhere on twitter Cardiff are interested in Andy King something about they are set to offer £1.5million for him! Loads of people will jump on this and say that we should sell him, however - i believe Pearson will get the best out of him and he should stay.

john ridley Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 "@_TransferGossip: Ross McCormack has stalled talks with Crystal Palace as Leicester are now interested in him. #CPFC #LCFC" didnt he turn us down ,and went to leeds instead
Bert Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 McCormack when we've got a similar but much better player in David Nugent? No thanks.
Guest ttfn Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 McCormack when we've got a similar but much better player in David Nugent? No thanks. Nugent is twice the player McCormack is.

Jimmy Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 McCormack when we've got a similar but much better player in David Nugent? No thanks. doesn't McCormack play on the wing more then as a striker
MrAus Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 Conor Wickham going out on loan to an unnamed championship team, rumours its us??? Thoughts ?
Libertine Dream Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 Id love us to get Wickham, a big player but mobile is exactly what we need up front. However I dont like being a stepping stone and as we have no chance of getting him on a permanent it seems slightly short termist
lcfcsnow Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 Id love us to get Wickham, a big player but mobile is exactly what we need up front. Don't know much about him but is he really all that? I know he is young but Steve Howard has a better strike rate and that's a cause for concern.
thewarmanator Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 Comparing Connor Wickham to Steve Howard? This forum has reached a new low! He is fast, skilful, powerful and young enough that he will improve! I would be very happy with him but I think of he goes on loan anywhere it will be back to ipswich
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 doesn't McCormack play on the wing more then as a striker 18 league goals for Leeds last season. Whether a winger or a striker.. Not bad

However I dont like being a stepping stone and as we have no chance of getting him on a permanent it seems slightly short termist He could give us a great year of service though, before going back. We never had much chance of signing players like Cleverly but it doesn't mean that we should turn them down because of it.
Adster Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 I don't get the obsession with Conor Wickham? This. He's scored like 15 goals his whole career and all of a sudden he's dubbed the next future England regular.

We never had much chance of signing players like Cleverly but it doesn't mean that we should turn them down because of it. I agree he may well do and will really help us out but if we go up you want to go into a division above buliding around key players. Im not saying he would be a key player but if he became that then you have extra work to do if we go up. I like the loan system and see it as useful but its always better to have your own players. Two recent notable loanees have been Naughton and Davies, neither have been replaced and particularly at right back last year we had a massive gulf in class. Id like Wickham to sign but Id rather we looked around a bit more to try and find a player that will be ours solely
Libertine Dream Posted 4 July 2012 Posted 4 July 2012 This. He's scored like 15 goals his whole career and all of a sudden he's dubbed the next future England regular. 14 goals in 30 something starts isn't bad for a kid that hasn't long turned 19. Granted he has a lot to live upto the way he's spoken about but he's quick, powerful, skilful, great movement, so could have all the right attributes to get into the England set up regularly

I'm just sick of any kids who score a couple of goals at Championship level are dubbed future England internationals, I know if it was me it'd only be added extra pressure. Which some players can handle and some can't. And then they get a multimillion pound move to a PL club, more pressure. However I did see a goal scored by him where he literally ran from his own half and done about 6 players and slotted it in, that was class. Can't remember who it was against though.

I agree and games like Fifa and FM make it worse in my opinion. But some players get the tag for a reason, Wickham, I personally believe is one of them. I remember that goal aswell, I think it was against Barnsley or somebody up north
