eye666 Posted 11 May 2012 Posted 11 May 2012 God our striking options are crap. Why's everyone putting Welbeck in the team when he's scored 9 Premier League goals this season? Seriously think he's over-rated, and would rather have Holt in there as the target-man to hold the ball up and bring some of our wide players/midfielders into the game. If we start with Welbeck as a lone striker we will go out in the group stages.
Jimothy Posted 11 May 2012 Posted 11 May 2012 Smalling's been ruled out injured. In light of this news I would also like to rule myself out of England's Euro 2012 squad with injury.
Tielemans63 Posted 11 May 2012 Author Posted 11 May 2012 In light of this news I would also like to rule myself out of England's Euro 2012 squad with injury. Made me laugh!

Also, no Walker, but you take Johnson? No Baines? Dawson ahead of Jagielka? When was the last time Dawson played?

Jimothy Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 sorry I forgot about Walker, ye'h i'd take him Leighton Baines I think is slightly overrated. Is Dawson injured then? Baines is a quality left back, plus is probably the best crosser of a ball in the League. I think Dawson is injured, I know the Spurs centre back pairing for months has been Gallas and Kaboul with King standing in when need be.

Guest ttfn Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 Leicesterpool - Euro 2004 called and wants it's England squad back.
Guest ttfn Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 Hart, Carson, Green Richards, Walker, Ferdinand or Terry, Jones, Cahill, Lescott, Baines, A Cole Lampard, Parker, Barry, Gerrard, Carrick, Young, Lennon or Walcott, Milner Sturridge, Carroll, Rooney, Welbeck Would start with: Hart Walker Ferdinand or Terry (ridiculous that I even have to type that) Lescott (if Ferdinand) or Cahill (if Terry) A Cole Lampard Parker (if fit, otherwise Carrick) Walcott or Lennon Gerrard Young Welbeck Rooney in for Gerrard in game 3, by which point I suspect we'll be virtually out.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 If Ferdinand goes, and especially if he plays, I will feel like not watching England as he is shite. Really is, people say if he and Vidic had played all season City wouldnt have won, I'd say if Ferdinand hadnt played as many games he had done, Utd would have won the league. Ferdinand was to blame for at least two of the Everton goals in the 4-4 game a few weeks back. Hart, Foster, Whoever! (Probably Carson or Green) Richards, Walker, Terry, Jones, Cahill, Lescott, Baines, A Cole Johnson, Parker, Barry, Gerrard, Lampard, Young, Lennon or Walcott, Milner Sturridge, Carroll, Rooney, Defoe
AmericanScott Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 A lot of posts have Rooney down in the starting XI. I thought he was banned for the first 3 games? Or have i missed something? Please tell me i'm wrong!
goose2010 Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 Interesting choice to take Gary Neville as one of his coaches! I think he will do well seems to know the game after watching him on sky!
AjcW Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 Roy has put a great coaching squad together... lets hope the players he picks are equally as surprising.... I felt I was too conservative with my initial squad, anyway if I had free rain and picked a completely wildcard starting XI this would be it: Hart Richards Cahill Lescot Cole Parker Milner Rooney Sinclair Young Crouch Subs of: Holt, Jones, Sturridge, Lampard, Lennon, Baines, Walker. Playing 4-2-3-1
AyewJoking Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 I'd like to see a central midfield of Parker, Scholes and Lampard.
Jaspa Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 I'd like to see a central midfield of Parker, Scholes and Lampard. Well you can tell Gerrard yourself if you want I agree with Parker, abit undecided on Scholes, but we definitely need an injection of youth in midfield, I wanna know the truth about this Wilshere injury too
AyewJoking Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 Hart Richards Lescott Jagielka Cole Scholes Parker Lampard Young Rooney Sturridge
