FantasticMrFuchs Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Yeah it is true, It was "Yozza" Grieves from Glenfield who done it
Vlad the Fox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Wasn't there a similar thing at derby? I'm sure i saw it on the news a few years back when they hired in a witch doctor to end the curse.
Matt Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Wasn't there a similar thing at derby? I'm sure i saw it on the news a few years back when they hired in a witch doctor to end the curse. Hire? Cov can't afford that!! They've missed the last 2 months of rent payments on their stadium!

I remember something similar happening at the Millennium Stadium because whichever team used the south dressing room I think would always lose
scinnell Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 My dad worked there! And yes they did bury a few Leicester shirts under the pitch, he's also told me the story about a fox taking a sh*t on the penalty spot infront of the KOP iswell!
Dan Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 Every single modern ground has one of these myths I swear. That one for us has been going round years in fairness.
flowwolf Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 Who's shirt is buried under our stadium then ? last season must have been a curse it could not be that we were crap surely.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 We didn't win there till this season, so the 'derby' jinx didn't exactly work did it? Pretty sure we won 1-0...?
Out Foxed Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 Pretty sure we won 1-0...? that's......this season. the last time we won at cov was 03 (before the ricoh was built) 4 draws 1 loss 1 win
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 that's......this season. the last time we won at cov was 03 (before the ricoh was built) 4 draws 1 loss 1 win Only 1 defeat, not too bad a record away from home.
Jace Posted 13 May 2012 Author Posted 13 May 2012 Who shirt is buried under our stadium then ? last season must have been a curse it could not be that we were crap surely. I think I saw a Bristol City and a Reading fan filling the foundations when it was being built
Jordan Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 I had heard a Forest fan put one of those dirty red shirts while the "Walkers Bowl" was being constructed, but I can't seem to dig that story up. Maybe I'm just remembering things. Jinxes don't exist, but it's still all harmless banter and good for a laugh. When the new Yankee Stadium was being constructed in 2008, a Boston Red Sox fan tried to "curse" the Yankees by putting a Sox jersey in the concrete. When the Yankees found out about this, they had the construction team go through the cement with a jackhammer and dig out the jersey. Moral of the story: be like the Leicester fan and don't announce what you've done until after the stadium construction is completed.

Quite right, jinxes don't exist but if the Forest shirt story is true then the Club need to consider all options including demolition
Uncle Phil Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 Quite right, jinxes don't exist but if the Forest shirt story is true then the Club need to consider all options including demolition Demolition, exorcism, then build a time machine to get Filbert Street back.
flowwolf Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 I heard that when they demolished the old filbo they found a Bradford Park avenue shirt in the foundations , with a message written on the back saying " your going to win fvck all "
Out Foxed Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 Only 1 defeat, not too bad a record away from home. true...if we were playing a team that wasn't shit like cov.
Grewks Posted 13 May 2012 Posted 13 May 2012 I heard someone placed a leicester shirt under the KP, when it was first constructed, with wellens on the back. When planted a legend foretold that as long as the shirt remained Leicester would have their very own scapegoat. Several years later the myth became reality, we aint been able to get rid of him since. I blame Wellens.
OzFox Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 I heard that when they demolished the old filbo they found a Bradford Park avenue shirt in the foundations , with a message written on the back saying " your going to win fvck all " Dunno what all the fuss is about personally. I'm quite happy to see the shirts of our rivals encased in concrete and buried. Nobody has to look at them that way
Guest MattP Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 Yeah it is true, It was "Yozza" Grieves from Glenfield who done it Spot on.
Carl the Llama Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Demolition, exorcism, then build a time machine to get Filbert Street back. Yes so less people can go to the matches!
