Libertine Dream Posted 4 June 2012 Posted 4 June 2012 Munchonmyback Good signing for them, albeit surprising, I thought he'd stay in the PL personally. Fee? I think its 500k compensation. The thing is he'll be playing Champions League football
Libertine Dream Posted 4 June 2012 Posted 4 June 2012 Did he have relegation release clause? contract just expired
RonnieTodger Posted 4 June 2012 Posted 4 June 2012 Hazard (28m), Hulk (38m) and Marin (6m) cost Chelsea just over the amount that Henderson (16m), Carroll (35m) and Downing (18m) cost Liverpool Hazard - Foreign Hulk - Foreign Marin - Foreign Henderson - English Carroll - English Downing - English. It's everything wrong with the Premier League. Extremely average English players cost far too much and there's no surprise that there are so many foreign players in the Premier League and so many that are better than our own.
AjcW Posted 6 June 2012 Posted 6 June 2012 QPR are eyeing £10-rated Bordeaux left-back Benoit Tremoulinas - THE SUN Wha a rip off!!!!!!!
foxfanazer Posted 7 June 2012 Posted 7 June 2012 He saI'd he wants to play for Leicester, we said Low Low Low
Jaspa Posted 7 June 2012 Posted 7 June 2012 Wonder if Giroud will be playing in The Prem next year Maybe if Van Persie leaves Arsenal ?
davieG Posted 12 June 2012 Posted 12 June 2012 STAGS defender Luke O’Neill is in contract discussions with Burnley after Paul Cox accepted a fee for the former Leicester City right back, the club has confirmed. Cox is resigned to losing the 20-year-old, but says that the fee received from his sale will be used to strengthen the squad. Speaking at a press meeting today, the Stags’ boss said: “Luke will be leaving. An offer was accepted from Burnley. “A lot of people will see it as ‘we should be keeping our best players,’ but unless you’re Manchester United, Barcelona or Real Madrid, you’re a selling club. “The offer [received] matched our value of Luke and the Chairman (John Radford) has said that the money we receive can be used to spend on players. “It’s a move that will suit all parties. We will have a decent fee and Burnley will have a good player,” he added. O’Neill made 44 league appearances in an impressive debut season with us last term.

Its a shame NP left the club or else he would still be here.
AjcW Posted 12 June 2012 Posted 12 June 2012 Its a shame NP left the club or else he would still be here. If that was true it would be him signing him not Burnley! Surely? Reckon we can get Nick Powell on loan from Feeder United?
tyneside fox Posted 12 June 2012 Posted 12 June 2012 Man Utd have signed Powell from Crewe on 4 year deal. http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2012/Jun/nick-powell-agrees-four-year-deal-with-manchester-united.aspx
Happy Fox Posted 12 June 2012 Posted 12 June 2012 Come on loan to us next season , doubt he will get into their first team just yet.
Jaspa Posted 12 June 2012 Posted 12 June 2012 They'll want to get him accustomed to the ManU way of doing things if they're considering him as a starter in future One to watch surely
1884Fox Posted 12 June 2012 Posted 12 June 2012 My mate who is a Utd and Leeds fan said that this deal would be done soon. He also called the Kagawa deal. Good signing for 'em though he's defo one for the future.

Fox92 Posted 12 June 2012 Posted 12 June 2012 Feel for Crewe, shame for them. Another one of their top prospects is snatched. At least they have got a decent fee, but Manchester United confirm he won't return on loan.

At least they have got a decent fee, but Manchester United confirm he won't return on loan. I sort of see what you mean but he was hardly "snatched". We're not talking a nominal compensation fee for someone from the academy, they'll get millions for him by the sounds of things. That's how they're run. It's inevitable if they produce someone good enough he's not going to stick around.
EcclesallOwl Posted 12 June 2012 Posted 12 June 2012 Derby seem to be offloading all of their decent players, Chris Maguire coming to us, Jason Shackell going to either you or Burnley and Steve Davies is wanted by Ipswich
EcclesallOwl Posted 13 June 2012 Posted 13 June 2012 Anthony Gardner finally announced for us tomorrow
Tielemans63 Posted 13 June 2012 Posted 13 June 2012 I was bemused as well. That's like being a City and Derby fan. It's not right.
Leicfox Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 Fleetwood Town have signed Damien Johnson & Jon Parkin Both great signing for Div 2. Back to back promotions on the cards imo.
