Webbo Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 Looking forward to it and dreading it in equal measure. Looking forward to putting on a good show for the world, dreading that terrorists or, more likely, persistent torrential rain spoil it.

Finnegan Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 I care about the athletics, always have and this is no different - London or not. I don't really care that "we" have the Olympics. I don't have a problem with it either, mind.
Zingari Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 Will watch some. Not bothered about events like synchronize swimming volleyball, bowls horse jumping curling or even boxing. I mainly like the field and running events. Did you know that things like embroidery used to be Olympic events? are you sure ?
Webbo Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 are you sure ? Don't let it needle you, he's in the right thread.

We're like, all the same so like, lets just go to starbucks with no shoes on and discuss primary school philosophy while updating facebook on our new ipads. oh by the way, did you want to come to my club night? we're planning on staging a mass tomato planting to protest against, you know, the way corporations have taken over the production of tomatoes
Amin Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 Love the Olympics and will watch as many events as possible. The fact that it's being held in Britain adds a bit of novelty to it as well.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 It's funny, I can't remember who told me this but for all the money we've spent on the olympics, every town could've had a brand new sports centre. What promotes sport more?
Daggers Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 What promotes sport more? An event sponsored by a sugary fizzy beverage and the purveyor of shit burgers. Health on a plate.

Finnegan Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 Singhy, I feel you've gotten very lazy over the last year or so. The lack of new turbanations have been disappointing.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 I am a huge fan of the Olympics, home or away, especially the Athletics. I'm pleased that they are here but my god I'm just praying that we don't embarrass ourselves with a piss poor opening/closing ceremony and medal total. I became a bit disillousioned with the England team in South Africa and a stein of boring qualifiers and friendlies has not really helped much, of course I'll watch the Euros, and support Roy and the boys - all the way. By I can't say I'm all that excited or expectant of anything worth shouting about come the final whistle.
Corky Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 No. Never got it and never will. Just not my sort of sports in it.
Zingari Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 No. Never got it and never will. Just not my sort of sports in it. i shudder to think what they are then
Narborough_fox Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 I'm in America for all of it so will get all the bullshit American coverage! Probably watch it if it rains but I'll be out for most of it so doubt I'll really catch any of it. Either way - Euro's > Olympics.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 5 June 2012 Posted 5 June 2012 Not bothered with all the hype, i remember when i was younger i used to love the olympics and get really p...ed off when Australia didn't win. But now days with work etc it's too much will watch it when it's on as i do love all the sports but won't care as much.
stripeyfox Posted 6 June 2012 Posted 6 June 2012 Always enjoy the Olympics. There is something for everyone and the fact that it is in London is marvellous. Gives the naysayers something to moan about. I will watch as much as I can although I have no interest in some of the "judged' sports - synchronized diving is easily the most shit and pointless "sport " in the gamo
