Dan Posted 14 February 2013 Posted 14 February 2013 Does potential and ability meen that much as I've found a mint regen with stats including 20 dribling 19 free kick taking 18 crossing 17 corners but ability is only 2 stars and potential is 3 and a half, cheers Load up a pic of the players attributes, he might have some very good technical skills (especially from set pieces it seems) but be very average if not worse, elsewhere.
Fox92 Posted 14 February 2013 Posted 14 February 2013 Don't tell us you're manager. No I'm still at Rangers (If they get relegated, I'll take the job if they want me).
BstarFox Posted 14 February 2013 Posted 14 February 2013 Games starting to frustrate me again, I dominate nearly every team I play getting more shots, more possesion but I always lose or draw 0-0 I concede nearly every time they put the ball into the box also, the tactic worked so well for me last in 2013/14 but has somehow stopped doing its magic...
Finnegan Posted 14 February 2013 Posted 14 February 2013 Walkers. I'm curious by your Sparta legacy. Did you find that other teams kept up with you domestically or did you piss the league every year? And did your European successes over such a sheer volume of time pull up the league's reputation? They made this big hooha about dynamic competition reputations but I've never really, actually seen it work all that much. I mean in principal, if you won the Champs League enough as - for example - FC Kobenhavn then eventually would the Danish league not grow in reputation, hence be able to sign better players, would get more Champs League qualification places, hence top clubs would get more money and you could eventually turn the Danish league in to a power house? Technically? I wanted to experiment with Cercle Bruges in the last game but I got bored after the first season 'cos I kinda pissed it. Plus the Belgian league system is utter shambles.
BstarFox Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 How do I get my team to play more consistent, I'm in the premier league with leicester playing 433 buy have only got back to back wins once all season, cheers

morris1234 Posted 16 February 2013 Posted 16 February 2013 Yeah, that is a problem. Can you 'ALT + F12' then, or will that have the same result on your connection? Print screen it is an option too?
Bugg Posted 16 February 2013 Posted 16 February 2013 Make a file called "Screenshots" in Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2013. Then press alt+f9 and the file should be in there.
Fox92 Posted 16 February 2013 Posted 16 February 2013 Print screen it is an option too? Yeah but it's never worked for me via steam.
Leicesterpool Posted 17 February 2013 Posted 17 February 2013 Managing Villa at the moment, sitting sixteenth played around nine i think only won one, but only lost three yet I could face the sack! Having problems with my wingers Albrighton & N'Zogbia are both crap just can't cross, most of my attack is coming from my wing backs Lowton and Fabio Santos.
SystonFox Posted 17 February 2013 Posted 17 February 2013 If I manage to make it to the prem has anyone got any suggestions on signings ? And what sort of budget can I expect. Currently leicester in 2nd spot here's my starting XI Schmiechal Lichaj Curtis Obeng (loan) Morgan Danny Potts (loan) Hiljemark Adryan Whelan Knockaert Wood (loan) Nugent Squad is made up of players like Konch, King, Diego Arismendi, SSL, Waggy. Need some more depth and variety, thoughs people?
BigAL88 Posted 17 February 2013 Posted 17 February 2013 won the championship with city. it went down to the last day with 1 point between us(86 PTS) and wolves and 1 point further of were brighton and birmingham, final day unbelievably brighton v birmingham and wolves v leicester. this game seems to have a tendency to cheat when it come to the more important/big games so i was gearing up for a forth place finish. after being top most of the season we comfortably dispatched wolves with glenn murray(25 goals for the season) and danny drinkwater secured the win and brighton smashed brum 5 - 1 to take second. then the prize money came and only received 50k i was fuming at this point expecting alot more than that and being seriously in debt. (through no fault of mine) then a week after winning the league a message comes through saying top is selling the club . next message a local business man has made an offer and will clear all the clubs debts. so looking quite promising right? wrong!! then the takeover is complete and local business man phil gartside (WTF) has said there will be no investment at this point.(again im fuming) so still in masses of debt but i thought that would be little issue when the tv money for the season came through 54.04 M. so i thought season expectations might give me some where between 5 - 10M to spend but and i was wrong. all the budgets were the same 300k and a wage budget that put me 32k in the red. i now have a squad(not first team)of 19 players after i had to get rid of every 1 could with in reason including the entire youth team. iv only played the first game of the season at home to man utd and scraped a 1 - 1 draw . i feel like smashing this bullshitting game up with a sledgehammer . screenie's will come later on
SystonFox Posted 17 February 2013 Posted 17 February 2013 My game was very similar although ended slightly different. 3 games to go I am in 4th two points off top. Lose at home to Hudds and then away to Brum leaving me in 7th a point behind 6th and I was due to play Wigan away last game who were in 5th two points ahead. A win is vital. End up winning 2-1 with Knocky scoring in the last min. I replace Wigan in 5th with Saints finishing 6th and Wigan 7th. Harsh! Get forest in the semis and win 2-1 at home then 1-0 away go face Reading in the final. 1-1 draw after 90. Goal disallowed from Nuge in et and Reading have a man sent off. Penalty shoot out Knocky misses the first Reading go 2-0 up on pens. I somehow come back to win 4-3 on pens with Hiljemark netting the winner! This is with David Soria in goal as Kasper was on international duty!???? Wtf?!!?!?!? In the prem looking to make a few signings. Got £18m budget

If you manage to stay in the prem (and you can, even with a palsy budget) your debt will likely be wiped out in a season or two.

Hiljemark and Adryan should be fine for the Prem. If you play them lots first season up, they'll likely develop into top players much faster, so long as you're willing to accept midtable results for that initial season. You're whole defense needs serious investment though, as does your attack. Thankfully, both can be bolstered quite cheaply. Batth and Maloca have been my main defensive duo for the first two Prem seasons. Defo worth their price tags. What have you done to De Laet? Get Sidney Sam as he's always cheap, useful and versatile! You can retrain him to AML or ST if you so desire.
Fox92 Posted 18 February 2013 Posted 18 February 2013 As I said on the other page, on my game (I'm Rangers), Leicester are in admin. They have got -6 points (having started with -10) and the game date is approaching November. I went to view Leicester's squad, and I couldn't believe it... If they were to get relegated to League One, I think it will happen, I'd like the chance to try and get them back into the Championship. A bit of a challenge considering everything that's going on at that club!
