LCFC FOX Posted 2 March 2013 Posted 2 March 2013 Marshall's woeful! As I was typing it I did think that Knockaert was a bit of a stretch but I think his stat distribution is a little iffy. I think his finishing, pace (though I wouldn't make it anything above 13) passing and creativity are all a little bit harsh. In my Liverpool save 4th season in Marshall is with West Brom and making the England team. Turns out a great player.

Might have developed better with a human manager, obviously, but still no hope of ever getting in my side now I'm chasing silverware. I suppose "woeful" is harsh but when you can pick up the like of Adryan in midfield for about the same price you can sell Ben Marshall on? Not really worth it.

General Smuts Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Had a play about with the updated database and I've already given up and gone back to my monstrous Stevenage game into 2018 and I've just beaten Barcelona in the first knock-out stage of the Champions League. Retained the league cup for the 3rd year running. And am joint on points with Manure with only 10 or so games to play in the Prem. At the age of 32 I'm already into the European Elite Hall Of Fame. Which I love, 3rd most successful English manager of all time as well. Mental success. How's everyone doing on the leaderboards? I think I'm floating about the 16k mark in FMC overall.

I'm puzzled by this, as Knockaert already has what... 12-13 pace to begin with? Don't think he needs more creativity, he has plenty of flair and that's what I'd describe him as irl too. And I sold off Marshall for £10.75m at the end of the second season on mine. Two caps in season three. Well rounded player if you ask me, certainly as good as he could ever get IRL if you ask me. I don't think I've ever won an important penalty shoot out in this. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever scored more than three penalties in this. I've won 4 out of 5, only losing to Wolves in the Capital One cup. Schmeichel is just amazing on penalties. He must've saved about 40-50% of the penalties I've conceded too. Sounds like you have rotten luck from the spot!
Finnegan Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 I've Stegen in goal at this point and my penalty takers are all pretty reasonable, I'm convinced it is luck, yes. Knockaert's starting pace is 11 and his creativity's pretty unimpressive, too, as is his passing. He's inconsistent for sure but at his pomp this season he's been spraying some delicious balls around, always looks like the most likely to spot a pass and open up a defence. That lob for Nugent earlier in the year was sublime. FM just has him down as a standard flair/dribbling combo and really not much else. Good potential though, for sure.

shen Posted 4 March 2013 Posted 4 March 2013 Oh, and has anyone had such a crazy back log of games that you end up playing 18 games in the final 6 weeks of the season?! I had a mad season where all cup games but the FA Cup semi and final went into ET/Penos/Replays. Coupled with the Super Cup and a Euro League run to the semis and the cramped end of season schedule appeared. My final six games were played in the space of just 10 days!!

I just put my ressies out for loan and they've asked for a Danish CB I picked up on a free with a 4* potential, it said "Valuable member of first team squad." I thought, what? Then I noticed what league they were in. I had to check three times. What the eff. Their team is utterly dismal, as well, it wouldn't get out of the championship if not for a 33 year old Noccerino and Pato (who looks about Champ / lower Prem standard.)

Neither would EVER become top scorer in their respective leagues with those stats! El Shaarawy has very high potential, if you immediately start working on his finishing he should be tidy but even if not he becomes a good winger. He's not there, though, nobody any good is. Noccerino and Pato are the only household names at the club and the former is in his thirties. I assume Pato must have picked up a couple of injuries and bombed, I've not really been paying attention to Serie A on the save. I know at the start of the game you get pretty much no money with any of the Italian clubs so they might just be skint, not too sure. The team is all crap reserves and regens though it's mental.

Stevenage FC - Champions League winners 2019! Beat Manure in the final which was a nice revenge to them beating me to the Prem title on goal difference. Now into the 8th place as the best manager in the world. Animal.
