Do we know if the new (latest patch) has sorted the transfer fees out?

I've found that on all of my saves the money paid for (and wages while I mention it) players is ridiculously high!

Average players, particularly championship level and they want 4mill+! It's stupid!!!

It's even worse when you find a gem, their value is say 400k, you bid a reasonable 1.2 mill for the unheard of players and you get a report back saying they want 7million!

Stupid!

What's stupid about it? Surely if you find a gem, you don't honestly think £1.2 mil is 'reasonable'. It's a fookin bargain! £7mil is a much fairer and realistic price. I think it adds a much needed financial barrier to human players.

Not necessarily, I want to be able to be rewarded for scouting well and finding those cheaper gems that have a low value so I can pick them up for 3, 4 times that low value.

Otherwise there would be no point, I'd just buy the same players on every save , like some people do, for the same amount which is pointless.

For example I Started a leicester game a while back and was getting quoted 6million for Gordon Greer at Brighton! Crazy!

If they're demanding silly money then they're not really hidden gems are they?

What kind of sides are you buying from?

Yes I'd imagine so, not sure why you'd want to though. You go on preferences and change the view to the windowed view, hook it up to the TV through the HDMI and go from there. That is just an assumption though.

I agree with shen, it's a bit ridiculous but it's ridiculous in real life and I think it's alright in the game. It needs to be a challenge.

In the last version, the number of players you could get on frees at the end of every season was stupid. It's still pretty bad now but its better.

If you want bargins, poach off the academies of clubs that produce better regens than you. As long as the clubs haven't given them a pro deal yet you can steal them for compensation. You can do this from sides with bigger reputation than you if you offer the players a higher squad status and wage.

The dat after the Spanish regens are created (about March 28th?) I go in to the Real and Barca academies, sometimes Atletico and Athletic too. I've been doing this with my Betis since the second season, so obviously Real and Barca have.much bigger reputations still.

Look for the players that have either no games or one game if there's been a match that day. The ones with the highest values probably have four and a half or five stars, offer them contracts immediately and THEN scout them. You can always pull out if you're wrong. I've gotten three or four wonderkids a season doing this.

Just passed January in my fourth season with Sedan, and we're sitting pretty in second. Unbeaten in the last 12, winning 10 of them, including the last 8. The wage bill has been reduced again so were roughly £12k over the budget, although the board are in takeover talks. We need some money, either through promotion or a new board. Looking good for this season though, currently 10 points clear of fourth with 15 games to go.

Starting to annoy/frustrate me again now. Went on a good unbeaten run, got to 1st in the table and then my goalkeeper breaks his finger... Out for 5 weeks. Bearing in mind, he has kept 9 clean sheets in 12 games since I signed him on loan! ... Second goalkeeper in now, and he is rubbish. Lose every game when he plays, no joke.

Promoted :D

Finished second, that run in mid-season set us up and from then on it never looked in doubt. This season our star players stayed fit all season, and Valentin Vada (real player, got him on a free, absolute star) was fantastic and got player of the season.

Initial budgets are £95k wage bill (a good £30k increase) and a transfer budget of £1.47m! I feel like the luckiest manager in the world lol

Sold players totalling £2.5m in the summer, and managed to bring in a new striker, left back and centre midfielder which whacked the wage bill up nicely. Had to get players in on large wages (£10-12k) just to compete, but hopefully it will be worth it.

We were taken over towards the end of last season which is partly why we've had a bit more money, that and promotion, obviously. We've brought in a South Korean which will apparently help shirt sales! First game is at home to PSG, debating whether to go more defensive or just leave the tactics as similar to last year. Just hope we don't get thumped!

What's your wage bill? Just wondering, see how it compares to mine.

I've put my Bradford City (FMC mode) adventure on hold. I've paid for the full version of the game, so I should have the privileges of having a personal assistant handle things for me and being able to talk shit about the other managers to the press.

I've taken over hapless Þróttur Reykjavík in Iceland's 2nd flight, for whom I've got a little soft spot after seeing them play at their ground. Well, it was actually their artificial pitch located right near their main ground, as the recent long, harsh winter meant they still hadn't gotten their grass to grow suitably for a game. And this was in May. This tells you everything you need to know about Icelandic 2nd division football.

I'm sure this is stupid, but I'm gonna go for it anyway and waste some more of my life.

Sitting top of league at last. Running away with it really, and I won't be surprised if we actually win the league at Watford (the team I resigned from).

Anyway, had this massive game against Brighton who were second at the time (this was when I was only 2 points ahead of them in first). Away at Brighton, I usually never win. Go 1-0 down then change tactics, and win 6-1 lol Never seen anything like it.

Think I'll be promoted this time tomorrow, at long last!

I am so, so bad at this game it's untrue. Even at Schalke I'm scraping top half, it's ridiculous. Can't account for Huntelaar (20 finishing) to be missing chances. That's plain ridiculous.

Definitely having a shuffle with this squad when I can. Severely unimpressed with a lot of the players and their wages, and any of them who switches off when they're made aware of their shitness can do one as well.

It doesn't help that you change clubs and give up every two minutes.

My Betis side at the moment are, four seasons in, near unbeatable. Found a lot of good regens to add to some cheap talent scrounged in the first year and some existing tidy players like Benat.

First season they were ****ing awful, though. Nobody was doing what I told them, they were milling about the pitch like ducks on a summer pond. Finishing was dire, passing was slow and laboured and I couldn't motivate Eamonn Holmes to eat.

In the second season, using the same team talks and the same tactics, they bombed about the pitch attacking and counter attacking with gusto and finished in the CL spots.

In 2013 they've made you properly have to settle before the players listen to you and learn their formations.

Didn't realise even you were struggling in your first year at clubs, feel slightly less pissed off at doing badly now lol I do actually intend to stick with these though as they've got some very decent players, but a lot of shit as well. Draxler is excellent.

Be patient, ride it out and it'll come. Make your pre-match training tactics only and ramp it up to high.

Grab yourself a few cheap youngsters like Adryan, Ademilson, Fischer, etc if you can free up the capital.

In fact, if you can sell the Hunter and buy Gabbiadini and Ademilson with the money then groovy.
