Deucalion Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 I bought two tickets for the Sunderland friendly after the open training session. I just ordered two more tickets and they said that only two stands were open for it. Why the lack of interest?

I just ordered two more tickets and they said that only two stands were open for it. Why the lack of interest? Well if they had all the stands open the more stewards and staff serving food and drink they will have to pay for The family stand and the west stand? Yes two blocks from Family stand, think Sunderland must be having the Kop or family/away end
Larry_LCFC Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 It's a friendly and its Sunderland. What is there to be interested about? Bring on the 18th!
Deucalion Posted 4 August 2012 Author Posted 4 August 2012 My daughter's boyfriend is coming and it is his first proper football match. I'm just worried he'll be disappointed, I was hoping for a half-decent crowd.
Zingari Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 FA Cup winners in 73 What's not there to set the pulses racing ?
Asha Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 It's the same 'glamour friendly' as just two seasons ago. But Sunderland aren't exactly fascinating anyway.
Deucalion Posted 4 August 2012 Author Posted 4 August 2012 Martin O'Neill's return?? Come on, buy tickets, this lad goes down the Tigers, let's show him the error of his ways!!
Corky Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Martin O'Neill's return?? Come on, buy tickets, this lad goes down the Tigers, let's show him the error of his ways!! He's already been back twice.
Bert Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 It's not going to sell out so you'd expect a lot will just go down on the day.
LCFC FOX Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Is the singing section in P2 for this game then? next to away fans. Thats where i'm sitting
Simmo86 Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Is the singing section in P2 for this game then? next to away fans. Thats where i'm sitting There won't be a singing section
LCFC FOX Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 There won't be a singing section You know what i mean. Theres always a couple of people who try when L1 stand isn't open.
NewburyFox Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 My daughter's boyfriend is coming and it is his first proper football match. I'm just worried he'll be disappointed, I was hoping for a half-decent crowd. Drag him to Posh instead.
Fox92 Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 I'm not going, not really interested. Sunderland are a Premier League team, but it's not as if we're playing one of the bigger teams like Liverpool or Manchester United. Not really bothered about Sunderland, I think most people will go for Martin maybe, although he has been back before with Celtic and Villa. My daughter's boyfriend is coming and it is his first proper football match. I'm just worried he'll be disappointed, I was hoping for a half-decent crowd. He's going to find out some day
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Friendlies just don't have the demand, i remember the Sunderland friendly in 2010 we only had the west stand open and not even that was full!
flowwolf Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Personally I would never dream of paying to watch a friendly at the K.P stadium. It's ok when we play the likes of Shrewsbury or Burton because it's putting a bit of money back into the grass roots of football , but whats the excuse for the club to be charging you as a fan to watch a friendly with Sunderland ? no justification what so ever.
Guest MattP Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Would never pay to watch a friendly (maybe for Barca actually) so certainly not shelling out for Sunderland.
Fox92 Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Read on the Sunderland forum, they are bringing over 3k? Read that ages ago though, can't remember the exact figure.
1964FOX Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 Is the singing section in P2 for this game then? next to away fans. Thats where i'm sitting Well we are there and will be singing but don't fancy our chances against 4,200 Sunderland fans.
Mack Posted 4 August 2012 Posted 4 August 2012 I don't understand this either. This will be the biggest barometer of our season to come, tickets are cheap and it's Premier League opposition. Surely it's a must?
