jamesmilner Posted 5 August 2012 Posted 5 August 2012 omg ! i bet their absolutely busting at the seams with enthusiasm coming down here to play our superstars ! some mike yarwoods on here !
Carter The Boss Posted 5 August 2012 Posted 5 August 2012 I tend to use friendlies as a negotiation tool with my good lady. I sacrifice them to "spend quality time" with her during the summer, but use that against her all season when I want to spend my Saturdays driving to and from the City
Deucalion Posted 5 August 2012 Author Posted 5 August 2012 I managed a good haul of friendlies this year. I made it to the open training session, the Hinckley game, and Olympic women's football match, and the Sunderland game. My leverage was my other half wanted to go on holiday late which means we missed the first game of the season!
Carter The Boss Posted 5 August 2012 Posted 5 August 2012 Good work! To be fair Olympic football has taken up a fair bit of my budget as well
Filbert_Ross Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 I feel your pain. ps - how long is your holiday? I'm going for two weeks and only miss Boro. going away for 3 days the weekend of the Peterborough game and a week in september and miss the Burnley and Hull game.
rico Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 i just checked the OS and only has prices,no other info
wattolcfc Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 I'm sure i'm painting the living room in the morning so I'll be spending most of the afternoon watching paint dry..
flowwolf Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 How much is it £15.00 ? bugger that. That's roughly my half time beer tab at the Peterborough game.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Won't be expecting more than 10,000, but does anyone know how many has been sold?
TrentFox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 I'm sure i'm painting the living room in the morning so I'll be spending most of the afternoon watching paint dry.. So you ARE going to the match, then ?
Guest Col city fan Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 So you ARE going to the match, then ? Trent! You cynic.. I'm going and very much looking forward to it too!
Jace Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 its not real madrid ...... Probably won't even be the real sunderland
SemperEadem Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 Am I right in thinking Sunderland are bringing very good numbers to this?
Fox92 Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 Am I right in thinking Sunderland are bringing very good numbers to this? Yeah. Apparently about 4,200 if I remember correctly. They are a well supported club, but I didn't really expect that many for a friendly. And it's not exactly just down the road.
rico Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 Sold just under 4000 for this so far. apparently Sunderland are bringing 4200,haven't we sold any then?
Larry_LCFC Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 We are going to do a forest and get outnumbered by the away fans Atleast its only a friendly..... and its Sunderland. CBA!
paulsherwood1 Posted 8 August 2012 Posted 8 August 2012 It's not real football. Friendlies are so boring! The result is irrelevant, the fans don't care. There is no passion. Sunderland are also hardly interesting. I can understand people going to watch us play Madrid of barca... But Sunderland!! And so what if MON is coming back, he's been back already!! It's hardly a home coming! Boring.... Bring on Torquay and REAL football
