Manwell Pablo Posted 1 October 2012 Posted 1 October 2012 Shame that, although Charnwood Sunday League are really starting to annoy me now, Alliance league sat there running 7 full divisions and having competition from the Leicester Sunday League, and the Charnwood league has pretty much the whole of North Leicestershire to it's self and losses teams every season, one before a ball is even kicked and completley self lnflicted by the league, no fuctioning website, only league in Leicestershire where you can't see the results and league table.

Then we had a game against Loughborough saints ressie cancelled as they couldnt get a team and we cancelled the one just gone as half the lads ran in a half marathron. Can't wait to get back into action had some new boots as my t90's have split. Also just seen the county cup draw. Anyone know anything about Fleckney Athletic (Sunday) F.C.

Never played them repuationally they are a half decent side but never good enough to take the next step up. On subject anyone know anything about DYP United of Leicester Sunday League Division 2?

Sorry but needs a new ideas and fresh faces I think, maybe ran by trusted members of teams. I've put my name forward to run a FA Full time website in the past just to keep people interested. We don't even know where we are in the league!! Played them about 3 weeks ago. Not a good team really have 2 decent ish Midfielder's one will just shoot from anywhere he is a big ish lad you will know the one I mean if he plays think his name is Craig has a hell of a shot on him keep him quite and you will be fine. Very slow at the back and all in all if they start losing they will try and kick you off the park. They had one sent off against us for basically just kicking one of our lads for no reason at all. They have played 3 lost 3 in our league this season. and thank you!! love a sunday league roadtrip.

I'm surprised how some of the cretins manage to function on daily basis. From what I've read on the forum, they've 'apparantly' got rid of the idiots. We shall see...

I'm guessing it was a main trio of players that are the usual 3?

goose2010 Posted 7 October 2012 Posted 7 October 2012 We got mauled by birstall Stamford reserves today they are the best team I've played against in a long time think it was 9-2 in the end good bunch of lads that play v.decent football well at least we don't have to trape all over the county this year on a Sunday morning!

Can't really fault their equaliser well worked set piece although the marking could of been better I suppose, was of only two shots on target they had in the entire 45 minutes. Other two came in the second half and were preventable with better defending and we need to cut these mistakes out if we are going to do anything this season. Strikers played well but had in general but had an off day and not a lot of luck in front of goal but that happens every now and again, they've bene finding the net in the league and hopefully that will continue, we missed a hat-full in the first half and a fair few in the second and should of won the game as we were the better side. Oh well as already posted at least we don't have to treck around the County this season.

They walked under 18s league last year and according to my mate have a striker called Joe Ford who is pure quality. Apart from that dont know much else.
