Father Ted Posted 9 September 2012 Posted 9 September 2012 Beat Sporting Birstall 2-1. 3/3 wins now and top by 2 points. Great start.
SystonFox Posted 9 September 2012 Posted 9 September 2012 CSKA carnabys second team sit atop div 7 with 7 points from 3 games. Having drew 1-1 away at fccol last Sunday we had a midweek trip to Countesthorpe and played an extremely young side. We came away 12-1 winners after being 8-1 up at ht. today we faced hotly tipped Blaby united and beat them 7-2 in what was much more of a battle. They dominated possesion but our back four never gave them a sniff, number 9 and 7 were in each of my pockets all game. Nice to be doing do well this early on. No game next Sunday due to 11 teams in the league. Would have liked to keep that momentum up. CSKA carnabys first team also sit perched on top of div 4 having won 3 from 3 with two tough away games just gone beating NPE 2-1 On Friday and Bees Knees 3-2 today
Simo86 Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 Ashby Ivanhoe drew with Leicestershire Constabulary 3-3. We missed 2 pens!
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 Ashby Ivanhoe drew with Leicestershire Constabulary 3-3. We missed 2 pens! And an open goal, couple of free headers, and number of other good chances. If we'd of scored first we'd of wiped the floor with them unfortuantly we didn't. Decent enough point though and the big game is next week at home to the Trees.

I've heard Mr Nicol had missed a couple of sitters. I'm actually available this week Doubt I'll get in the squad though

Walked off the field at HT could not work out how they had managed to get 3-0 up. Decent point in the end though and great second half perofrmance.
munf1987 Posted 10 September 2012 Posted 10 September 2012 good soild win against Riverside, finished 4-0 but could have been alot more. Bistall stamford A next sunday away next, we shall see which team turns up for them but as it stands the 1st team and reserves both have games to play

Bistall stamford A next sunday away next, we shall see which team turns up for them but as it stands the 1st team and reserves both have games to play They should have games nearly every week They tend not to put 1st or reserve players down, it's usually players from A moving up if the others haven't got a team.

Stamford A got pasted by Saints ressies on Sunday rather strange. EDIT: Saints first team game being called off may have had something to do with it actually. Stamford wont have games every week their are only 7 teams in the Prem.

The superstars from the first team will not play in any of the other teams. They don't always turn out for the firsts
munf1987 Posted 11 September 2012 Posted 11 September 2012 I remember playing Stamford A the season before the last. Last game of the season at Birstall, they had alot of their reserve team playing. No ref turned up, so their manager took charge. Ended up playing something daft like 10 minutes injury time (our manager was clocking the time also) and we was drawing but they needed to win to win the title. They scored and then blew for full time. We have Saint Ressies the weekend after this
The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 September 2012 Posted 11 September 2012 We played them first game of last season and lost 3 1 though I think we were a bit overcome by tge occasion (first game in div 2. ) we also lost our main striker after 5 mins. We then beat them away 4 or 5 1 in the cup, and last game of the season we had a bare 11 and they had a couple of first teamers in and ended up drawing 0 0. There was a period last season where it looked like that team were about to fold. Lots of cancelled games due to them not being able to find a side I remember playing Stamford A the season before the last. I play for AFC sporting charnwood while at school it was talked about setting up our own adult team as majority of us played for shelthorpe lions youth teams. Once everyone had come back from uni, the team was set up and just started our 3rd season. Nothing better than playing is a team full of your mates
The Year Of The Fox Posted 11 September 2012 Posted 11 September 2012 That's what we did at the Fountain (then swannington) started crap in div 3 and got relegated but then won promotion three seasonw in a row as well as beating poplar in the cup. With getting better we lost some of the crap players but they were the most reliable. Now we've gone pop
munf1987 Posted 12 September 2012 Posted 12 September 2012 same thing happened to the shelthorpe lions adults team. new manager came in and brought in some decent players with him to challenge for the prem. Regulars got unhappy so a reserve team was set up. players left the first team and both teams folded as well as the youth teams, which is a real shame. I think majority of those shelthorpe lions players play for Poplar and we have 3 of us from that team at AFC. I doubt we will be in the prem any time soon. Although are team is strong, we would need to add 5 or so good players but then thats where it starts to go wrong. I think we played swannington in a cup game 2 seasons ago. I didnt play that week but the lads were going on about one of your wingers scoring a screamer

The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 September 2012 Posted 14 September 2012 Me and a couple of others from swannington have signed for racing club hugglescote
tylesta Posted 16 September 2012 Posted 16 September 2012 oscars 0 glenfield town 3 poor poor poor today. i was awoken at 9 am with a phone call today to play as they were struggling cancelled plans and didn't even get on. new team required need to transfer if it's an alliance league club, can play wing, center mid or my main postion is up front, work hard all over the pitch what ever postion i'm in!!
Messi Posted 16 September 2012 Posted 16 September 2012 Mivan 2-1 Royal Oak Had to completely change our formation and squad around today, but still a solid performance all round! Weve started off the season pretty well to be honest, sitting joint top with White Eagles with the exact same goal difference, scored and conceded etc. We are definitely a second half team at the minute, slow out the blocks, but hopefully that will change soon and we start performing well for the whole 90. Hopefully we can keep this form going, in what looks like will be a very tight decision.

Simo86 Posted 17 September 2012 Posted 17 September 2012 Ashby Ivanhoe 4-4 Birstall Trees A very topsy turvy game. We went 2-0 up, then Birstall scored 3 on the trot to make it 2-3, we then went ahead again, only for them to equalise. Probably a fair result on reflection and they will be up there come the end of the season. There striker, who was a bit of a **** for the whole 90 mins missed an open goal from a yard out as well, comedy gold
