Moto Hello Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Was this different food at the KP a one off? For example there was a hog roast in the section of the stadium I was in and there was a specialist burger place in the section my friend was in. I didn't particularly like any of the food (hog roast or pies where I was) but succumbed to hunger a got a pork baguette with apple chutney (a bit odd for a football stadium) for SIX pounds.
HEGGSY Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 They also had "Filberts Donut Stop" in the family stand.
Jaspa Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Overpriced nastiness. Why did you have to bring your Mother into this ?
Guest Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Been raising this at meetings over the years, the Hog Roast used to be at the back of the Kop at Filbo, but was never used at the new stadium. Not everyone wants to eat burgers, or pies, and I'd prefer more choice, and used it as an example. I'd go further, but then again, I would. Friends of mine who watch the Tigers say they can choose from a variety of foods. If they can, surely we could offer more variety too? On another note, they've had focus groups from the Family Stand over the last year, and said at the last meeting they would be introducing more "child friendly catering" as part of its redevelopment.
Tielemans63 Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 I don't think we should be complaining about the club offering more variety. Oh and food at footy grounds across the country has always been expensive - why are people shocked?!
Guest Col city fan Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 I personally partook of some pick and mix from the club shop, at half time. Very nice it was too.
Moto Hello Posted 12 August 2012 Author Posted 12 August 2012 I just didn't like the fact that I could only have hog roast or pies. Cornish pasties had even ran out 45 mins before kick off. the old selection (burgers, hor dogs) should be available alongside more variety.
Ian W LCFC Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 In the family stand they had that Filberts Donut Stop and then just there normal food that was like 20p more compared to last seasons prices.
dorsetfox Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 would have thought with thais being the owners then a noodle bar or 2 would go down a treat low cost with a good profit return and tbh some of those noodle boxes you can buy are delish

fleckneymike Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Theakstons Old Peculiar (on draft) Courage Directors Super cold Guiness.. Honeydew. I wish.... Damn you. I got all excited until the final line. I think the owners are to be applauded for attempting something new.
ithuriel Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 I do not mind new foods being offered though more information about what was being sold and where would have been nice. I went to get a burger, no burgers sold at the kiosk on one side, just pukka pies etc., Tried the other side, Hogg Roast kiosk but no burgers OK i thought, no burgers today so lets see what is tempting, hmmm the chile sausage looked nice at £4.50 and was one of the cheaper items Asked for the item, the two girls serving looked slightly confused and a back ground supervisor had to help them by pointing out the correct item. It was quite tasty but the baguette it was served in was so flaky everytime i took a bite it was like snow falling the guy in front would have had bad dandruff if not for his cap I decided not to buy anything during the half time break but a mate told me the queues were for the cheaper pukka pies kiosk and few went to the Hogg Roast side.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Maybe we could dine around the world with exotic foods and a large selection of fine wines and real ale? or maybe we could stick to Yukka Pies and Plastic beer ........Mmmmmmmm the proper football experience
Deucalion Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 Damn you. I got all excited until the final line. I think the owners are to be applauded for attempting something new. I think it is good they have listened to supporters and in theory the choice of food is great. But...it is very expensive and I personally don't go to football with the intention of spending lots of money when I am there. I would love a hog roast at the ground but I doubt I would fork out £12 plus drinks for food for me and my other half.. Maybe I am tight but the lack of interest suggests I'm not the only one to think this. I hope it's a success but I can see a rapid change back to pies and family bags of Walkers.
goose2010 Posted 12 August 2012 Posted 12 August 2012 They had singha and magners in bottles. Carlsberg and tetleys I think on draft
