While many smaller clubs wouldn't think of Posh as anything like tinpot. We shouldn't be insulting sides like Peterborough by calling them 'Tinpot' because you know that we would take issue with plenty of clubs' fans who by your criteria would consider us 'Tinpot'. It doesn't mean anything, it's a petty insult of clubs who people consider smaller than their own, but those same people have a real problem with it when bigger clubs say the same about us.

Honestly, I consider it more about the image of the club rather than it's potential. Like, Coventry embarrass themselves by having a stadium way too big for them, Derby embarrass themselves by giving out free season tickets to make it look like they've got a load of fans when we all know different, Forest embarrass themselves with fans who think they're a huge club but then have average attendances and very poor vocal support, etc. And yes, we make ourselves look tinpot with goal music and certain games when we let ourselves down vocally. There are small/medium sized clubs who don't embarrass themselves constantly in such ways.

We're in the same league as them for God's sake. We're starting to sound like Forest and Leeds. Yes, they're a smaller club than us. They have very little success to speak of and their crowds aren't great but they'll be fired up for this one, the players and the fans. Especially if they read this thread.

Exactly, and they get no end of shit from our fans for it (rightly so), but if we're going to then do it to clubs who we think are smaller than us then we have no right to complain. We're either both tinpot or neither of us are.

Are you deliberately contoversial and anal to get attention or do you actually support another club? The only thing I care about other clubs is beating them when we play them.

Is it just luck that the line between being tinpot and not being tinpot falls just in between us and Peterborough? I don't think Leicester are tinpot, I don't think any club is tinpot, especially the unfashionable smaller clubs whose fans still follow them through thick and thin. They aren't tinpot and neither are we, but if we think it's ok to label smaller clubs with that then we have no right to complain when a Leeds United do the same to us.
