I think I might move the the Charlton board, reading this board since last night you'd think we were doomed. At least someone likes us...

lol a lot of them thought we looked qaulity going forward which is a good thing but also a lot commented on our slow and static defence. nice to hear what they said has perked me up after being so deflated

Dunno, the same clown moaning at King coming on at half time?

Based off last seasons form yes I felt we needed Danns instead but more than happy to see an inform King back in the side. Still wouldn't start him at Blackburn in a 442.

Very impressed with Leicester, which makes the three points even more special. Great movement and interplay going forward which really had us on our guard, but at the back they really couldn't handle BWP and Yann. Bradley looked sharper tonight than I've ever seen him.

King made a huge difference for Leicester and they looked a totally different side in the second half

Cracking result and make no mistake Leicester are a very good team who will win a lot of games this year.

Their pace and passing was very good but first half we dealt with and created the better chances. We deservedly went in 2 - 0 from a very good BWP finish although Schmichael was out of position. Kermo seemed rather pleased with his goal for some reason but it was no more than our pressure warranted.

2nd half Pearson realised the long ball to exploit the pace of Vardy and Beckford wasn't actually getting them anywhere, changed the team and King started to run the show. We got a battering but we stood up to it. It took some fantastic and sometime desperate defending but Hamer did what he had to with out having too many crucial saves to make.

Great game. Leicester were a good side but very slow at the back. Vardy looked good every ball stuck to him.

This league is going to be very exciting this year, Leicester were full of quality especially second half and they'll be in the mix come May.

Every other post is praising us, can't be that bad.

Leicester made the mistake of playing 4-4-2 against us - First half we looked quality going forwards - our delivery from corners is something to savour and defensively we were sound where as Leicester's cbs looked a bit slow movement wise. 2nd half they rectified the formation and because we were leading and always back ourselves defensively we let them come onto us a bit. The could have got a draw but the lads held out which shows their character.

As for Leicester, the don't have our qulaity in the final third and defence looks powerful but suspect against pace. They are a physically strong, direct competeive team though and I think they are well equiped to put the lesser sides to bed and will be up there in the end so makes the result all the better for us.

Dont let Babs know that other clubs feel we might be lacking pace at the back...

He'll do his nut...

Did any of the goals have anything to do with pace Col?

Oh and if people are going to start picking out individual posts out of hundreds in the attempt of trying to back up their own view point then I will have another look later and pick out selective quote also.

You make me laff Babs ( in a good way mate)..

Sorry, couldn't resist that one..

Don't forget though I did tell ya that's what the Florist fans said, and now Charlton too....

Like people have said they have been used to League one standard which isn't great. I mean even Matty Fryatt was netting goals for fun.

However, I was impressed with some of the football we played last night. We will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

I wasn't selective, the Charlton fan said after we changed our formation from 4-4-2 in the first half which wasn't paying dividends we were more effective going forward as a team, obviously we weren't ruthless with our chances but at least we created them.

So when we are away from home play the second half formation, Anyone know what is was?

'They had an ex-player co-commentating and he really gave an insight into tactics, team formation etc. In addition I also had a clear idea of what was going on in the game.'

Seems someone on the charlton board likes alan young, they can have him

Yes 4-4-2.

Alright seems the personnel changes was the key then? i.e King and Knockaert coming on so starting them away from home may pay dividends I guess.

So last night was the defences fault then and not the lack of a DM?

No... Pick the right players for the right game.

Dyer is better away from home, King is better at controlling games.

Against Blackburn it's doubtful we will be controlling the game. I bet you pound to a penny that Etuhu will pick up scraps and Murphy will be pinging it about.

We need to win the ball and to keep the ball. If we concede possession or can't get it back it may well be like the Alamo.

Danns in for James, Nuge in for Beckford.

Let's try to impose some control on that midfield area because that's where the game will be won or lost on Saturday. Dyer is needed as the out-ball.

IMO.

No, the 'key' was that Charlton thought they had it in the bag and sat back and let us come onto them......

Ahhh here we go, I knew it wouldn't be long until the oppo were given credit for any of our good play.

The two aren't mutually exclusive Babs.. Lose the ball in midfield you are going to put the defence on the back foot. This will expose any defensive weaknesses you have.

I'm firmly convinced that the pairing of Walsh and Elliott ( both you would admit slow defenders?) were not exposed as much as they could be, defensively, because Lennon was playing directly in front of them. Attacks were broken up by him so many times before the centre backs even had to defend.

Anyway, as I said I was just pulling your leg. We'll have to agree to differ mi ode.

Was it Marbella Dave?

Never......

I am always very supportive when I am at the games thank you.

I save all my moaning for Foxes Talk......

Seriously though I think NFP is a good manager in many respects, I don't want him out, just want him to show a bit of flexibility and tactical nous.

Tactically speaking, Chris Powell had him on toast first half......

I know I'm just confused. One minute it's the lack of a DM, then it's Morgans pace. Someone more cynical than myself would think you were just highlighting areas you have mentioned previously in an attempt to validate your point... even though they had little to do with us losing by the sound of things last night.

I don't wish to appear rude but as you didn't watch or see last nights performance it is quite difficult for you to pass comment on why we conceded goals. At no stage were we overrun in midfield, at no stage were players running through unopposed at out back line. We were undone because we have had to field an inexperienced RB at CB and we failed to deal with a simple throw in.
