I bet he's had his iPhone out playing Angry Birds.

Can't believe Townsend thinks Baines has been good. Worst crossing I've seen in ages. Next he'll be saying Cleverly is world class

5-0 not bad, but if we were better in front of goal could have been 11 or 12

33 shots, 20 on target. 5-0 really is the least anyone could have expected.

I thought their keeper looked fairly decent to be honest...

The goals conceded apart from the challenge for the peno weren't his fault at all.. Solid game

Irish must be lapping it up, can have a right good old song song after losing 6-1.

To add, we might not have been great tonight but when you stick 10 people on the edge of a penalty area it's going to be a bit tricky whether they're footballers or golfers. Frustrating at times but the whining on here, jeez, you'd think we were entitled to something.

We're a decent international side these days, nothing more, stop thinking it's our right to beat teams like this 15-0.

I really wish we would drop Rooney. He is so utterly crap for England and has been for so long that I get very depressed just seeing him on the pitch. What kind of example is it setting to the younger players when you can be totally dogshite game after game and yet end up as captain

Falcao scores a lovely goal for Columbia. I think I'm in love.

And another to seal the win. He now averages a goal every 56 minutes in all comps this season. That is mental.

England won 5-0

Germany won 6-1.

Then again, Ireland fielded a certain Kieran Westwood in goal (who came up with at least two blunders).

If St. Ledger had played, this wouldn't have happened.

I actually thought at first it was a foul on Bale...I'd be more hacked off about the Fletcher goal being ruled out more than anything from a Scottish POV.

England did the job as expected...could never "win" as such.

I doubt we were playing at 100% and I though the commentators were a little harsh on San Marino...considering Mr Townsend own national side didn't exactly cover themselves in glory last night.

Can't believe the amount of players and pundits coming out and saying a point against the Poles would be a good result. Have things really gotten that bad?
