Cowardly Scum in Leicester.

Correct. It's your own county.

What a pathetic act by a pathetic piece of scüm. Injuring an innocent man by kicking in his face.

The bloke who's attacking and his two cronies look like they're either massively drugged or intoxicated.

Unfortunately not always the case these days. People get off on violence, and to me , thier the worst.

I know. I noticed this a lot whilst visiting the UK, but heard of similar trends in Poland or Germany.

In the last couple of years, there were a lot of cases of youth groups or young adults attacking regular people "just for kicks" (pardon the pun).

Still, I wouldn't downplay the influence of drugs in these circumstances.

The violence is inexcusable.

As is the snidey way a lot of Council wardens go about issuing parking fines... ie on a scooter do the ticket from 200 yards away then speed up slap it on the windscreen and speed off.

Traffic Wardens should be there to keep the traffic flowing safely as a visual deterrent, not a council money making exercise on with wardens on commission.

What a depressing end to the evening...

I mean, I knew that there were cowardly scum (and honourable people) in Leicester, and I knew there were morons (and thoughtful people) on Foxes Talk, but this thread hits an all-time low.

Surely it's as simple as this:

- Vicious physical assaults are not a pleasant, productive way of society conducting itself; or maybe a return to the caveman era is the future? It probably is, but hopefully not quite yet...

- The bloke viciously assaulted looks Asian (probably Muslim) and is a lot smaller, physically, than the bloke who launches a vicous and unprovoked assault on him. Is this a mere coincidence? In what way is this funny? Shall we all have a belly laugh at someone kicking the shit out of you, your mother, your grandfather, your daughter, a Paralympian (Gawd bless 'em and their triumphant union jacks!)?

- Who said they were Eastern Europeans? Maybe they are, they aren't, maybe they're a bunch of warped bullies from England, Ireland, France or Germany, not Poland/Lithuania? Whoever they are, they deserve disgust, not amusement and tolerance (the main response, it seems).

- Parking wardens? Everyone hates them...an easy target. Does anyone seriously think that people would park in a reasonable and considerate manner without them?!? And I thought that I was the lefty idealist! Without parking wardens, the majority of people, being monstrously selfish, would do what the hell suited them and wouldn't give a shit about anyone else....parking wardens do a valuable job!

The police said so presumably because that’s what the victim said.

And just like any piece of relevant information it helps with tracking criminals.

The pictures are very low quality and without other means of id , “such as the spitter’s arm plaster and accents etc ) it would be very difficult to track them down.

Imagine you’d recently been to a car wash (don’t go all stereotyping on me) and noticed Polish guy with an arm in plaster . You may not recognise him by the pics alone , but it may give you just cause to call the police with your info that may or may not lead to a conviction

I might ask him to stop smacking his injured wvnking claw against the paintwork!

You are correct though you hear about crimes when they say tattoo on left arm and scar above the eye ,of course they will mention as much detail as possible however small it might seem to catch that person.oh a if you do see them do not approach is a given line.

I've just checked the Leicestershire Police site, which says that the men "have been described as being of Eastern European appearance". Maybe there was indeed something that said they were Eastern European (accent, clothing etc.). If so, I agree that it is valid to reveal that. But "appearance"? How often could you tell a Polish skinhead oaf from an English skinhead oaf?

I could mostly (but not always tell a Spaniard or a Swede from an Englishman, but a Pole? I hope their information is correct and they get hold of the bloke as a result, but if it is just a case of some rather bigoted witness saying "they looked like they could be Eastern European", it will probably hinder the investigation and spread needless mistrust of Poles. Hopefully someone did hear an accent.

I agree with the use of the word "cowardly", though. Maybe the bloke would have karate-kicked the victim even if he had been white or had some other job, but I bet he wouldn't have kicked him if he'd been a big, muscular body-builder type...

I did wonder as well, if it was racially motivated attack rather than because it was a traffic warden. It's not like he was writing them a ticket.

If they are eastern European, I don't know if they share our hatred of traffic wardens, but they aren't known for racial tolerance.

Where abouts in France are you if you don't mind me asking?

I love the place and have just been to the South near Beziers but have been all over, anyway this year it was like fight night,I have never seen so much trouble or any before to be honest. One evening I was going to gets some fags(not an easy job) when 5 lads attacked 2 lads as they walked by 1 of the lads got away, leaving 1 v 5,he was getting kicked in the head on the ground when all of a sudden passers by,middle aged with wife in tow all jumped in to help the lad and batter the 5,served them right.

When were you in France? Early August? The problem with going anywhere "touristy" in the first three weeks of August is that everybody is on holiday. People in general DO NOT act as they would at home when on holiday, they think it's their right to make more noise and drink a lot more. This often leads to more unruly actions - especially by adolescents. There is also the added problem of those from the few "no go areas" in Paris and a couple of other cities who get their "vacation cheques" from the government who then head to a holiday destination and treat it like their estate. Having said this generally France is not at all a violent place. FYI I live in a coastal town called Soulac sur Mer, north of bordeaux on the atlantic coast. Fantastic apart from a couple of weeks in August when I'd rather be on holiday myself.

yeah I bet no-one has ever committed a violent act in France. Its not like France has a higher murder rate than the England....oh no wait..it does.

Ah yes it was you. :P . I'm not trying to be personal. I'm giving you an honest account of my 20 years in France compared to more than that in Leicester. I love Leicester and find it a multicultural paradise compared to many places. I'm just giving you my opinion that France is NOT a violent place.

I guess it's a case of shooting the messenger or rather hating the enforcer of the shit rules set out by the government. Parking meters have sprung up everywhere in the past few years to squeeze as much money as possible out of people who have to park in or around the City. It's a disgraceful money making excercise from the councils, probably so they can waste it on shit like that park that's going to be placed next to mosh & the park and ride stops.

Reminds me of Lock Stock, where the blokes in the van realise it's a traffic warden in the back and they then all decide to stomp on his head lol

What a sad post. These men acted despicably. It shouldn't be laughed at. Traffic Wardens are doing a job and usually they do it properly. we all know where we should and shouldn't park just like we know about speed limits and if we choose to flout these laws we should accept the penalty when we're caught. This thugs were not even the driver's of the car. Still should be easy to find either over at the crow's nest or by checking a local off licence video.

Sickening.

That's where all the 'nudey' beaches are in that region....naughty boy! :P

For the record, I only know this information as my wife hails from Bordeaux.

Well Montalivet - a few kms south is the nudist campsite, soulac isn't a nudist beach - although in the remoter beaches there are. Of course the beaches are topless - this is France.

I like your local knowledge.

The wife used to go (with family) to the seaside (not the nudey beaches!) in your part of the world. She is in fact going to Bordeaux on Friday with our daughter for two weeks. I shall remain in sunny and blissfully warm UK for this duration.

Yes, Houston the apple of the world's eye.

did I say it was?. Houston is a shit hole too....everyone seems to use that phrase to describe english towns but they are all paradise in comparison.

happy?

Your definition of a shithole and mine deffo differ. Yes there's shit parts, but on a whole Bordeaux is a pleasant and affable French city, full of culture and non-Parisians (until August that is)

I know this conversation is heading wildly off topic, so what a bunch of wankers etc.

I was in Bordeaux today. Sorting out my son's Uni accommodation. He'll be back there next week.

Soulac is a beautiful place to live.

How old is your daughter and send me a private pm with a picture of your wife. Thanks. :P
