Putting this deliberately in here and not in the LCFC forum because I'm curious of the answer but am not looking to excite the mouth-breathers and the Pearson In/Out brigade.

For the record, I hope we aren't looking for a new manager any time soon and I've absolutely no reason what so ever to suspect Lenny may be linked to us if we were.

But, out of curiosity, would you be happy to see Neil Lennon as manager of your football club now or has his behaviour since leaving City put you off?

Although his recent actions have been less than impressive, some of the shit that he's had to put up with since moving across the border is nothing short of disgraceful.

Basically what I'm saying is that yes I would have him back despite his actions (some he's created for himself) in Scotland.

Finners...

I get that you're not suggesting it or anything, but still, part of me is disappointed.

For the record though, he has been a bit of a dick and all he's had to do is win 4 games a year (none now.)

So that's a no from me.

Right now?

No because we have a manager. End of discussion as far as I'm concerned.

No x 1,000,000.

Poor manager only winning things because of Rangers demise and he's a pretty vile bloke as well to add to it.

Yes loved him when he played for us and I think he is a decent manager if NP was to leave he would be one of the candidates we should talk to though it would be hard to convince him to come here unless he isn't remotely happy in Scotland.

Not seen anything to suggest he'd bring much to the table. Alright he's done a job there, but at the end of the day it's Celtic. With only a faltering Rangers as rivals.

And he couldn't even manage a cup with the league after being dumped out by Hearts and Kilmarnock.

I'd take him to be honest.

He would have the backing of Leicester fans from the very start, surely has an affection for the club after spending four years of his career here and enjoying great success and would be able to escape all of the sectarian nonsense in Scotland.

You could argue he has only been winning things because of Rangers' demise, but you can only beat what's put in front of you and Celtic did that with embarrassing ease last season. His record is patchy but you have to remember that he has faced pressures that no manager, let alone one who has only two full seasons of first team management under his belt, should ever have to put up with.

It would actually be interesting to see how he would fare south of the border without the sectarian and bigoted horse shit he has to put up with in Scotland and focusing purely and simply on football.

This is all hypothetical though, as I don't see him leaving Celtic. It's his boyhood club, the fans adore him and Celtic are shoe-ins for the next three titles at least.

Hypothetically though, not as bad a shout as some are making him out to be.

Wouldn't want him.

He's benefitted from a Rangers that has been mismanaged beyond belief, this season he is fifth without Rangers.

He's put up with a lot and I admire him for that, I thought he was fantastic as a player, but as a manager I'm not convinced.

He hasn't even proved himself as a manager. He's shite.

What a load of bollocks

75.2% win ratio is quite good is it not?

From 122 games in charge

Won 92 games Drew 13 games and Lost 17 games.

You could argue it is the SPL but that record isn't bad.

Rangers are in fourth place in the Third Division with two wins out of five, this in spite of them signing fairly decent SPL standard players.

I would argue that their underachievement so far is the more worrying. Teams are really raising their game for both of them so far, in the SPL with an extra European place being open in Rangers' absence and in Division 3 every game against Rangers is treated as a cup final.

Celtic and Rangers will win their respective divisions comfortably, but don't expect the cakewalk that most of us were talking about pre-season.

He hasn't had Rangers competing with him for about 8 months now. He can easily win the league and most matches, the league is piss poor. They haven't even made any signings because they are so confident they are going to win the league. However, it may be harder than they think.

Probably not, really, matey, given you spectacularly missed the point.

yes but he aint gonna leave celtic for us

lol

Not for one moment suggesting he would or that we'd even approach him in the first place.

Again, re-read the topic.

I know Rangers are struggling and it's incredible really, but Celtic should be top of their division. They have European income, massive crowds and there's a huge gulf between them and the next biggest (Hearts?).

He's no Jock Stein.

He's no Jock Stein.

You mean in terms of management, or that he also failed to call the police? lol

He's no Jock Stein.

Your right he isn't, but he would do a job for us no denying that, I may be the only one but I certainly see something in him, he has some qualities of management that a certain MON possessed and no doubt he would of picked up from that school of thought and hard working ethos.

That's insulting to Martin. I can't see a single quality he has that compares to him.

And we'll not even go to the differences in the ways they reacted to any sort of bigotry up there, one made not a single issue of it and it actually virtually disappeared, the other has wanted to stoke it up and fan the flames at every opportunity.

I didn't miss the point, but by the time we are looking for a new manager whose to say what the circumstances will be, so it seems kind of pointless. But I guess if it keeps you entertained I've got no right to stop you debating it.
