Redknapp to Leicester City rumour AGAIN!

I think we will get promoted with either of them in charge. The difference is I think we would struggle once in the premiership with the way Pearson manages, to be successful you need the ability to deal with big time players and I fear we would come straight back down.

With Harry we would have a great chance of sustaining our status, the issue however is that he would drop us as soon as another offer comes in and he would clearly just use us as a stepping stone to a bigger club.

I think im in the Pearson camp, but I do understand why the owners would consider it.

Where's the evidence fo how Pearson would do in the Premiership? He's done pretty well as a player and as a manager so far and, more than that, he's shown he can adapt his thinking if the change in our strategy this season is anything to go by.

Not all big money players have big or out of control egos and managers like Moyes seem to cope on even modest resources. Pulis is another at Stoke - what a job he's done for season upon season!

No, while i think Pearson should always be looking to improve on what he does and while i do believe he's been too cautious in the past he strikes me as being first of all a survivor and secondly a man who can and will move the goalposts if it's for the better.

Look at his commitment to sports science if you want an example.

Pearson seems to believe that a team not only requires good players but also people who work hard for one another and make a contribution when things are going wrong, either for the team or for themselves and that's one of the big pluses we seem to have this season... a whole team of people with commitment.

Maybe Pearson can handle big money players when they're all being paid what they're worth. Maybe he just doesn't believe in paying big money for players who are not giving as much to the cause as the lesser paid players and who therefore become the focus for disharmony.

It's not fun when you're drawing half the wages of someone else and doing all the donkey work while they laze about blaming Konchesky for a less-than-perfect pass. I'll never forget exactly that happening with Beckord last season and thinking "you'll not last here, son".

Your first paragraph doesn't make sense. Hughton didn't take Norwich up anyway.

The difference is beckford cost money + wages.

Bosmans cost only wages.

David nugent is a prime example. No transfer fee only wages.

Nugent not a good bosman for you?

So both take their clubs into the Premiership and not get relegated the following season?

Your idea of taking on players with huge wages is stupid. Look how it's turning out with Beckford right now. Discounting Nugent, our best players are Pearson signings on lower wages because they care more and work harder.

I think that poll is a good indicator of just how unpopular a decision this would be.

The owners need to come out and squash this rumour, Pearson needs some support from them been nothing so far!

The owners don't need to do anything the dreaded vote of confidence usually results in one thing and that is the sack remember Mandy?

Maybe they're waiting for a poll of Leicester fans before making a decision on which way to go.....

No - he took Newcastle up, then had them going well, before being ridiculously sacked.

Not entirely sure what the hell you're trying to say there, or how it actually relates to what cooling said.

Anyway, I hope this is ridiculous, Pearson is doing well for us - we're winning, playing well and arguably - but for a bit of luck deserting us at Blackburn - could be top of the table.

the thing is most of you are say you dont want pearson to go but if we lose next game most would be saying sack him. another thing is that people would say they wont follow us again if this happens but only till we get in the prem and they will all come back and follow.

my point of view is i dont want pearson to go when we've on good form and only get rid of him if we are doing crap towards christmas, but i wouldnt get a manager in that will waste big money on over rated players on big wages.

If you don't read posts and subsequent replies threads make little sense.

"Most of you" Really? Actually most of us have backed giving Pearson time continually, as all the polls have shown. Other than a few planks who change their mind with the wind and a very vocal minority.

For the first time since Pearson left we actually look like we might be making steps forward again on the pitch. Sure there will be a few steps back along the way, that's football. But only a complete and utter moron would consider doing this now.

Maybe with Redknapp he will give everyone a chance. Like Danns and Beckford. That's one thing I hate about Pearson. But at the minute stick with Nigel :scarf::)

Oh seriously, you really want to go here again. How many more chances do you want players to have? Beckford has played 49 games for Leicester, most of which were under Pearson and most of which he was a pile of shite and is currently being made to look even more average by a lad signed from non league.

Perhaps you should do so then - since I have read it and, for the first bit:

But even with NP I fear that he will fare as well as hughton or Lambert

Danns has had chances - he played a reasonable bit since Pearson took charge nearly a year ago, then threw his toys out of the pram on twitter - was given the chance against Burton and played ridiculously poor.

As for Beckford - How many chances did he need? 40 appearances since Pearson took over, he scored in 9 of those - that's 31 appearances he did bugger all in, or 77.5% of his appearances for Pearson

I beg your pardon it should've read Adkins and hughton.

How easily people forget the number of "chances" people are given. Abe was another who had his "chance" pleaders but who had stacks of opportunities.

If anything Beckford had too many chances. As for Danns he blew the big chance he had this season and helped embarrass the club big time. Meanwhile the real team - and that includes the substitutes - have done us proud.

Like others before him Danns will have to wait his next opportunity and be ready this time...always assuming there is another opportunity and I wouldn't bet on it.

Managers need to be ruthless sometimes - it helps establish the necessary authority - and if Danns has somehow walked into the role of victim that's his mistake and I couldn't give a toss.

Either way the experience should do him some good and teach him lessons he should never forget in the rest of his so far easily forgetable career.

If this happens then King Power need to get the fvck out the club immediately, I don't buy into them at all now.

We'd again be the laughing stock and I'm sick to fvcking death of it.

Danns was one of the best players last season. What did he even say on Twitter I would like proof. One poor game this season when the whole team was poor? But he still plays the likes of Waghorn and Matty James who are sh*t. Danns should be at least on the bench. So should Beckford

1 point off top, this would be ridiculous.... Not only that we are playing really good football as well

Danns & Beckford do not show value for money at all. Danns hasn't been bad but if it's true he's on £25k a week then he needs to be moved on, we can't keep paying that for average players.

Danns was also nowhere near as good as many think last year, he was average for the vast majority and whilst he scored a few towards the end, he stupidly got himself sent off and after that injured, to not play again for the final couple of months - conveniently like Beckford & Mills during their time out of the team, he was getting the most praise he had done all season.

He's one of these that people rate more when he's not playing.
