As has already been mentioned, but is worth repeating, they did, a number of times, and the press but it was all ignored/covered up/dismissed, whatever. Just how many? It's all hearsay One example of a complaint is from a woman who said when she was fourteen, and in a wheelchair at S.M, Jimmy knelt down to chat to her, putting one hand on her shoulder, and the other on her knee. For God's sake, how bloody pathetic can she be? Half the population would be banged up, including me, if this can be classified as sexual assault! Raise £40,000,000 for charity, and get stabbed in the back! The law now has gone mad. Any adult talking to a non related child, is looked upon as a pervert these days. What a sad world we live in. For someone who takes such a hard line on relatively minor crimes, you seem to be very soft on multiple child abuse, all accounts have been checked analysed, cross referenced, in the main they corroborate each other, there are stories of him sticking his tongue down the threat of a girl in a wheelchair, and molesting girls with brain damage, this is not some light shit, this is some very heavy dark shit, which even his family are not denying and are now even admitting it happened to them. Where did you here that story anyway, I think you have missed some vital part of it, but even if that is the case, I can honestly put my hands up and say I have never touched a young vulnerable disabled girl in anyway shape or form, especially one I didn't know because it would be inappropriate. If that contact was unwelcome and made her feel uncomfortable then it is technically battery. Imagine it was your 14 year old daughter in a wheel chair, and some strange man had their hands on her, how would you feel? what about that keith harris bloke who spent his whole life with his fingers up a birds arse? They have gone up against super injunctions, phone tapped celebs etc., and yet all you get is rumours after someones death but no hardcore facts or anything of substance. I can not believe the press were just caught out unawares by this so in supposition, either there is no hard evidence or the establishment, whoever they may be , have continually squashed this story or perhaps they were all scared of Jim coming to fix them .

Not, though, because I couldn't believe them, but because somewhere down the line I'd got it in my head that he was a well known paedo a la Gary Glitter.

To be fair to Benny he was quite well known for his affection for the female of the species and managed to ensure they were the appropriate age even though they were a great deal younger than him.

She said her dad and others were "aware of the rumours but didn't know any specifics" If it was common knowledge at BBC radio I find it amazing that Savile was allowed to get away with it for so long
