grobyfox Posted 2 October 2012 Posted 2 October 2012 We now know why Beckford is here. After that performance he's never going to get into that side. Class all over the pitch. First goal was a belter, I doubt we will see a better one all season. 2nd goal was a bit special too. From my seat it looked like a back heel volley. Jizz I'n pantS! Taken from there forum! We've certainly got some work to do. Taken from there forum! Jizz I'n pants!
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 2 October 2012 Posted 2 October 2012 Its a very very good goal, but i think Muzzys V Grimsby in the cup is still the best City goal ive seen. That or Nalis V Leeds. But this one is up there Agree, they're good but they're not quite to the level of Bergkamp against us (made even better because he then used it against Argentina), Muzzi's overhead kick at Grimsby and any of Frank Sinclairs own goals! Andy King had a couple of very special goals early last season - I seem to recall a chip that technique wise was superb, despite the fact he made it look so easy.
roblcfc84 Posted 2 October 2012 Posted 2 October 2012 The first is good. But the second - I don't think young and stringer appreciated how hard that is. Did anyone else catch Alan young merging konchesky and Paul into paulchesky in the game - made me chuckle anyway.
Happy Fox Posted 2 October 2012 Posted 2 October 2012 Has anyone noticed as an aside that two away match day threads started by moi have resulted in two wins coincidence?
Guest Col city fan Posted 2 October 2012 Posted 2 October 2012 Just seen the two goals on Sky Sports News.. The second was better than the first!! The cheeky little scamp!!

bmt Posted 2 October 2012 Posted 2 October 2012 Is it just me or do Huddersfield fans seem to be a lot more likable than some others. I like everything about Huddersfield Town actually. A huddersfield fan gave me and the lads perfect directions earlier, told us the ticket prices and where to get them and even said good luck to us earlier. Shame the town is so shit.
Maybes Posted 2 October 2012 Posted 2 October 2012 £2.6m for Knockaert? Would like to see where someone on their board has come up with that figure from. They say our side costs millions to resemble. Kasper - £1m Moore - Youth Ledger - £500k? Morgan - £1m Konch - £2m? Dyer - About £500k years ago Drinky - £1m? Knockaert - ??? King - Youth Vardy - £1m Nugent - free Gathered its more than most starting 11, buts its hardly £8m for Jordan Rhodes etc....
Thracian Posted 2 October 2012 Posted 2 October 2012 When a 40-yard screamer that's proclaimed certain to be "goal of the season" gets all-but eclipsed by a one-footed scorpion kick for our second then you know it's been a special evening and one to be proud of. And to the faint hearts who said we should hold onto the point we had against Middlesbrough and who would have "settled for a point" tonight, let me say we've taken six points instead from those two games and the extra four points could be vital come the end of the season. Six points for the "win at home/draw away" brigade is like taking a point from approximately a quarter of our away games and totally blasts the very idea of being so negative right out of the realms of common sense. And, once again, our two goals kept our "goals for" ticking along nicely and pretty much up to schedule while the defence deserves great credit for restricting a reasonably high-flying team to one shot on target and the equivalent of crumbs for chances. Suddenly we really do seem to have an "All for One, One for All," outfit out there on the park and I really don't give a shit who's next on the fixture list because it's all about what we do and I see no reason why we would make every game as difficult for the opposition as the last one. Knockaert will surely remember the evening for the rest of his life - two goals from the footballing book of near miracles - but let's hear it too for "no-end-product" Dyer for further involvement in our goalscoring, for much-maligned Konchesky for the pacey cross that so-perfectly anticipated what the efforvescent Knockaert wanted to do and for Pearson who, once again, stuck two proverbial fingers right up the collective arses of his Red Ker-knockers, or should that be Red Ker-nappers. Mind you Youngy was at it again...trying to put an imaginary monkey on our shoulders with mention of the international break. My life the bloke could be negative about a lottery win. What the sodding hell does the international break have to do with anything? Are we the only team that's being subject to it? No. Will the next fixture be any harder as a consequence? No. What might we possibly do in that momentary break except give our hard-working playeers a little chance to get their breath back? Well, we might do a lot of things like working on a whole range of improvements so that we are an even more formidable team. Cos that's what good teams do. They don't sit on their laurels, they don't make pathetic excuses about international breaks and they don't bleat about Mystic Meg predicting "an unexpected setback ahead". They take the next game on the fixture list and prepare to do their job - ruthlessly and relentlessly. Bring it on!

Agree in the main but the wages for the likes of Nugent & co are almost certainly higher than the average in the championship. Also, it's probably easy to find a set of fans likeable when they're being so complimentary about us.

Kitchandro Posted 2 October 2012 Posted 2 October 2012 Their view. http://downatthemac....ad=73385&page=1 My favourite comment is 'their movement off the ball is excellent' - something we've lacked for far too long.

foxesfan1989 Posted 2 October 2012 Posted 2 October 2012 I love how mad twitter is going about these goals! Only downside is that the Prem clubs just learnt his name
Top cop Posted 2 October 2012 Posted 2 October 2012 I simply love my club, but am always cautious because we have had such pain for so long. Now I genuinely believe cause this young team can only get better. Nigel......I just love you
