Let's Have a Statement From The Thais About Pearson's Job Being Safe

Recommended Posts

If the Thais have spoken to Redknapp behind Pearsons back and Pearson does find out about it then I could see him quitting. It's just the type of character Pearson is, he don't take shit from no one and if he feels his postion isn't what is was then it could get ugly.

having said that though Pearson does like it at Leicester which is the reason he came back, the owners really do need to come out with a Statement and get on top of this matter because its cleary effecting Pearson and his Agent.

I already think we are as good as anyone in this league....

I respect you opinion but do feel there is room for improvement in a few areas and maybe be we are a touch short on numbers in defence.

Still when Richie is match fit I would have to agree with you lol

Pretty naive original post. No employer should ever tell an employee that there job is safe.

Ferguson: Is my job safe?

Glazer: Don't know about that.

All about selling papers. You dont have to read them, they are also handy for wiping your árse.

I don't, I was simply marvelling in the ability of others to believe everything they read on the Chinese Whisper trail.

With everyone wound up into a mouth frothing frenzy over this does anyone know if the representatives of King Power are holidaying in Bournemouth, Poloing with the Princes or at their day jobs?

Pearson will not quit when he's on a million nicker a year! He may feel hurt and it may effect his performance as manager, which leads to him being sacked and that would be a better outcome for Nigel than to walk away. He may have integrity and stand up for himself, but he's also very shrewd and he'll know what to do in this situation.

His best bet is to use this as determination to prove them wrong, with the cushion of a nice pay-off should he get the boot anyway.

I sense a statement on this within 24 hours.

Also naive, what happens if they have to fire him for cause, however unlikely? Legally they would be hamstrung.

There is no need for a statement. NP knows he has their backing because I'm sure he'll have it written in his contract somewhere that he cant be sacked this season.

(well that theory is more trust worthy tha the daily mail anyway)

Mickey Walsh has urged Leicester to release a statement and show their continued support of manager Nigel Pearson.

The former legend manages the City boss and has responded to rumours that the club had a meeting with free-agent Harry Redknapp.

Walsh told Keys & Gray: “Whether it is true or not, it was a rumour, but it came from a good source which I believed. There had been a meeting - between Harry and Leicester - and I discussed it with Nigel.”

All he [Nigel] can do is win football matches

— Mickey Walsh

Asked how Pearson was coping with the speculation, he said: “He wasn’t too pleased, obviously, if it was true but it’s different to substantiate these things when other people might deny it. You’ve got to be careful of accusing people of doing these things when you’re not 100% sure because you weren’t at that meeting.”

The club have won six of their first nine games and are one point behind Cardiff, who sit at the top of the Championship table.

Walsh said: “Nigel will just get on and do his job and win football matches. The fans were chanting his name the other night. It’s an irritant more than anything.

"They’re doing fantastic and he’s one of the best managers around. The players aren’t distracted, they’ve played some good stuff. They look like they’re on the up.”

Didn't see it myself but apparently 'Arry was just on SSN saying he's never met anyone from Leicester and the stories are made up. Make of that what you will

Where did you hear this? If it's true, then hopefully this will put an end to this nonsense.

Do the Thai's still attend every game? I heard that they'd not been seen for a while, but i've seen Top at Charlton away and sure I saw him at the Hull home game.

For the first time I'm genuinely starting to think I may stop going if Nige gets the push.

Just when we look like doing something good, it's utterly fookin daft.

If they were getting bored, they'd not have put the ownership under King Power unless that's in preperation to sell? I'm sure they'll be there on Saturday now we're about top of the league!
